I just found this

However, there is still no information on when expats in Prachuap Khiri Khan will be able to receive the vaccine. Full details are expected to be released at an as of yet unspecified later date.

Health officials outline plan for vaccine rollout in Prachuap Khiri Khan
Health officials in Prachuap Khiri Khan have outlined plans for the rollout of the vaccine to residents across the province.

A large batch of vaccines is due to be delivered to the province June, in order to begin vaccinating the general public, Dr. Suriya Kuharat, Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Health Doctor, confirmed on Friday (April 30).

The goal is to vaccinate more than 330,000 people, Dr. Suriya said.

Some 13 vaccination service points will be set up in each district which aims to vaccinate approximately 3,600 people per day per point or a total of 46,800 people per day.

Vaccination service points will be set up at every district office, the Thanarat Camp Infantry Center in Pranburi, Prachuap Wittayalai School Auditorium and the Provincial Stadium’s gymnasium.

In addition, the management of Hua Hin Market Village Shopping Center, Bluport Hua Hin Shopping Center and Centara Grand Hua Hin Hotel have also given their consent for those venues to be used as vaccination service points.

People who wish to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine can register at any public hospital.

However, there is still no information on when expats in Prachuap Khiri Khan will be able to receive the vaccine. Full details are expected to be released at an as of yet unspecified later date.

Full details are expected to be released at an as of yet unspecified later date.

And at that unspecified later date, will there still be vaccines available for the white devils?
It would be best if they didn't vaccinate any non-Thais then, if there is another outbreak, they could blame the white devils.

I used the QR code from https://huahinforum.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 15#p531735 to check my wife's registration done a month ago by the hospital. That was OK.

Then I checked mine (13 digit id needed from Fabien baan or id card). That got a not registered response with a link to the registration form. Not realising that foreign residents may be treated differently to citizens ( :) ) I filled in the form and it was accepted. Whether or not anything happens about it is anyone's guess.

It's in Thai of course.

Yes, I might get as far as showing my pink id card. But nowhere did the form ask if I was a Thai citizen.

One of 2 things can happen. I get the vaccine or I don't (in which case I join the farang queue).

Health minister restricts Covid vaccine options
People cannot choose which Covid-19 vaccine they receive, says Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul amid mounting concern over side-effects of shots being administered in the country.

The minister gave an interview to the press after meeting representatives of Sinopharm, a Chinese Covid-19 vaccine producer, on Friday.

He said the government had not yet entered into negotiations with the vaccine producer, adding the negotiation process normally started after vaccine producers submitted documents to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Mr Anutin insisted that the ministry was ready to register all Covid-19 vaccines produced and that the government had never prevented the registration of any Covid-19 vaccine.

The government is trying to make Sinovac and AstraZeneca submit their vaccine delivery timelines.

Vaccine producers have not been able to sell a huge amount of vaccines to Thailand due to changing demand in their respective countries, he said.

On whether people will get to choose the vaccine they want, Mr Anutin said which one they receive will depend on each vaccine's suitability for different groups of people.

The Pfizer vaccine, which had been tested with children aged 12 years and older, would be given to children aged 12–18 years, he said.

As for the Sinovac vaccine whose second dose is offered only three weeks after the first, it will be given to medical workers, frontline workers and immigration officers, according to the minister.

"Everyone will receive the vaccine that can immunise and save them equally. I can assure you that every Covid-19 vaccine in Thailand is inspected by a vaccine safety committee," said Mr Anutin.

Well that puts my mind at rest, Mr Unqualified has said that Thailand's vaccine safety committee has guaranteed all the vaccines.

I don't believe one word that comes out of this guy's mouth.
I thought the government had already committed to NOT giving sinovac to the over 60's because of concerns.

I don't see anything in this report that contradicts that.

All it says, about who will get which vaccine, is:
Mr Anutin said which one they receive will depend on each vaccine's suitability for different groups of people.

From when have they started to offer expats Pfizer vaccine:?
hahuahin
Now let's see. Sinovac is currently approved for emergency use. AZ was approved just 2 days ago. Pfizer, J & J and others haven't arrived as yet so have not been offered to anyone until approval. I'm sure these vaccines will get approval once a supply has been established.

With regard to Sinovac, the government have already said that it will not be used on over 60's, which I'm pretty sure covers the majority of expats.
Pfizer, J & J and others haven't arrived They are on the way? How can that happen, it will ruin the portrayal that we did everything here without Western influence, so now we can soon turn on the big drum and tell the world that we are all vaccinated and ready for new tourist ...care and health first ......no no, not traffic statistics now

Either way, I'm keen to get it done and for every other bugger to get it done too, so that we can get back to some semblance of normality and start talking about the weather again.
Well, my second (AZ) is booked for the 7th - 1st jab no diferent from the Flu jab, where I feel cr@ppy for a couple of days afterwards (that said, I'm suffering with the after effects of Covid anyway.....). Like you DM, I'm keen to have it and hope all others follow. The LHG has had her 2nd (Pfizer dose) and the family "seniors" have had their 2nd doses - as carers, my brother and sister have had the Pfizer jab, my other brother and mother having the AZ jab.

The risks of not having the jab far outweigh not having it - simples!

Let us know how you get on DM :thumb:
All done, exactly 2 months after the first jab. No fuss, no bother, just lots of smiley, happy, relaxed people. There are lots of plus sides to being back in the UK.

Yes, I had the Pfizer jab with no adverse reaction of any kind. I had it done at a vaccination centre at the airport where I work and then did a nine hour shift and I'd forgotten about it until I took my shirt off at night and saw the small sticking plaster on my shoulder.

Thought AZ 2nd jab was supposed to be 12 weeks after 1st. Is it only 2 months now.

I think originally it was supposed to be 4 weeks, then they extended that to 12 in the UK to enable more people to get their first jab. Things have been going pretty smoothly in that regard, so presumably as and when the opportunity arises to call people in for their 2nd jab, they do so.
