Another slow news day, and who do they love to hate?

The one thing people are forgetting is that there is a lot of money being invested in the documentary of Rooney and his Plymouth team, which is planned to go on to the end of the season. Hopefully, a couple of Arse kickings were in the script. Hopefully at least 4 out of the next 6 points will be coming to Plymouth (please), which will showcase Wayne's coolness in bringing them back from the brink. Even documentaries need some sort of storyboard.

^ Hopefully Plymouth with make money out of it as it's (reportedly) going to cost a cool £1 Million to get rid of Rooney.... Not a huge amount for the big Premiership clubs, but I assume would hit the coffers of Plymouth somewhat harder. I would also guess any replacement manager would be on a similar pay deal?

Still, there's the FA Cup to look forward to BB

As I said, "Another slow news day, and who do they love to hate?"

Of course Schumacher would love to go back to a club where there's a no blame culture, but unfortunately greed got the better of him, and he moved from a very safe job, and to a club that goes through managers for fun. His wages wouldn't be so good, but I guess he's unemployed at the moment. His reign at Stoke only lasted a few months

I'm no fan of Women's Football, but hats off to the ladies of Wales qualifying for the Euro 25 Tournament :thumb: I also need to grasp at any and all Welsh success after our diabolical year in rugby!!

"Wales made history by reaching a major women's tournament - Euro 2025 - for the first time as they stunned the Republic of Ireland in Dublin in front of a crowd of 25,832."

Saudi Arabia is set to host the 2034 world cup. After the most soulless event in world cup history - the 2022 Qatar World Cup - money continues to shame and dishonor the beautiful game and its fans.

At least in Qatar you could get a beer in the 5* hotels - unless they change the rules by 2034, Saudi will remain dry!!

It's official. Astonishing. Such a travesty.

As an aside, fortunately women WILL be allowed to watch the footy there as in 2018 they enjoyed watching their first footy game there after the more strict Muslim rules were lifted.

Joke.

I agree with Lost (Image). He is absolutely right.

Are they also building a special prison for supporters arrested for real and perceived transgressions against Saudi law? They have real political correctness there.

In 2032 when SA reneges on its promises what will FIFA do with only 2 years to go? Still, nothing a few (more) brown envelopes (shopping bags more like) can't fix.

And how many sub-continental lives will this feast of football have cost when it's over?

With any luck climate change will be becoming so severe that Saudi oil won't be so popular any more.

The owners of Newcastle United must be very pleased with this result.

Football's going home. To its spiritual home, that is, where money is god and King.

Werner?

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou says Timo Werner's performance was "not acceptable" after replacing him at half-time in the 1-1 Europa League draw at Rangers.
The German forward, 28, lost possession 16 times, did not win any of his five duels and only completed 69% of his passes.
Former Rangers striker Steven Thompson, covering the game for BBC Sportsound, said at the time: "Timo Werner's final decision on the ball so far has been abysmal.

Reading the above, I presume he was bought to replace Kane. Sounds like the perfect replacement :run:

The most obvious post to follow that is to remind everybody that Thomas Tuchel's boys will be Bringing it Home :run:

Methinks, even more common will be: "Our team is the best but we don't play well because the manager sucks, and why do we need to have a foreign manager." :D
