With no lockdowns and little/no intervention by vaccination, there is no way the figures will improve. The best you can do is limit your movements, take all reasonable precautions and wait for the jabs to commence!!

I'm actually getting used to being in my 'bubble'. I might need therapy to leave it when things get back to normal, if ever.

Interesting development. No further story at the moment, just the below headline.

What will the time lag be, between registration and injection?

According to published news reports quoting a government spokesperson, vaccination for 18-59 year-olds (without underlying conditions) will start in August.

I imagine it would depend on how the vaccination drive goes in June and July, though.

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration on Saturday reported 4,803 new cases, among the highest on a single day since the outbreak, and 34 deaths over a 24-hour period.

The new cases included 2,702 infections found in prisons and 51 overseas travellers in quarantine.

Bangkok led the list with 1,054 cases, followed by 215 in Samut Prakan and 186 in Nonthaburi.

Meanwhile, another 96,599 people were given their first Covid-19 shot in the last 24 hours, while 60,476 were given their second shot, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in Thailand to 3,504,125.

COVID-19: which countries will be the next to see a big spike in cases?

Beneath the many complexities of the marathon that is the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a simple hypothesis: if the coronavirus is introduced into a susceptible population, and those people are able to mix, then there will be significant community transmission. Across 2020 and 2021, we have seen this happen around the world, including, recently, in India.

Who else is at risk?

In terms of where cases are increasing most quickly (at time of publication), the website Our World in Data highlights Laos, Timor, Thailand, Cambodia, Fiji and Mongolia as the countries where numbers have recently doubled in the shortest period of time (ranging from 16 to 23 days for these countries; for comparison, the doubling rate for India ahead of its second wave was 43 days). When looking at the countries whose reported deaths are currently doubling most quickly, it’s Timor, Thailand, Mongolia, Cambodia and Uruguay (range: four to 31 days).

For countries such as Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and also Vietnam (highly praised so far), it’s high susceptibility to COVID-19 that’s the problem. They’ve had few cases in the past, so there’s little natural immunity, and they’re now experiencing outbreaks amid an inability to procure a large vaccine supply. Vaccine coverage therefore is low. Thailand and Vietnam have given a first dose to just 2% and 1% of their populations respectively.
This is the way

I don't disagree with most of that. However, according to my vaccine tracker, Thailand have given a first dose to 5% of the population (3,208,882 doses in total). I haven't done the maths to check that %.
