"England’s Will Homer raced clear from long distance and made it to the try line but initially declined to dot the ball down, with Argentina not doing anything to force the issue as Homer stood in the in-goal area for what seemed an eternity as the game headed towards its conclusion.
The referee’s softly, softly attempts at encouraging Homer to put the ball down were ignored and the impasse only ended when Homer was challenged and decided to touch down.
Argentina won the game 19-7, with the result meaning both sides progressed at Canada's expense on points difference.
But there were boos around the ground and plenty had damning words to say later, with one social media poster branded it a "disgusting finish". That's because World Rugby's law 9.27 says "a player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship", with the sanction being a penalty.""

He should be banned making the game a farce.
Certainly not going to happen, but the whole issue should really be looked into with a view to it never being repeated: -
The ref in the first instance should have put a stop to it, simply by awarding a penalty to Argentina which is within the rules.
You can see from the clip that Homer (ideal name) is obviously getting coaching/being advised from the touchline - not too sure how that goes within the rules of 7's.
Then again, the Argentine players did nothing - happily aware that they would go through on points difference to the detriment of Canada. Quite frankly, IMHO both England and Argentina should be penalised and Canada put through.

Yeah, it's the last week, but not sure about playoffs. Not really any interesting matches there this week. The only one I see that could be close is Rebels/Highlanders.

^ I take some of that back. At least one team, the Blues, are playing 3rd string people as the match means nothing to them concerning standings, and they don't want their 1st string injured, and neither do the All Blacks. We may see that with a few other teams making similar selections which could bring some matches closer than they would normally be.

pharvey are you starting a competition on superbru for the july internationals?
Indeed, thanks for the reminder lindos - caught me out a tad as I'm normally waiting for the "Autumn Internationals"..... Not to mention trying to ignore Welsh rugby at the moment (and the tour of SA)!!
Anywho, those who have played in previous leagues should have an invite by Email, if not (and for any others interested), details are: -

What is "Australia A", their second string team?
Yep, they are indeed. A stepping stone as such to reach the full Wallabies side - they tend to play touring sides between full test matches. Mid-week games against the British & Irish Lions for example.
