I'm upbeat, because Chelsea are now upbeat!

As for JT, I was wondering what was going on, when a few days ago, when looking for details of an earlier book about JT on Amazon, I noticed they are already gearing up for his autobiography to be released in November 2016. It struck me as odd as I recall reading sometime ago that he had a huge book deal, one of the largest for any UK sports person, but only for release when he finished playing, maybe that changed with his longevity and the publisher wanted it out and it was just a red herring? Made me think though.

Whatever happens, once again, Chelsea have handled this badly. They got Cechs leaving right, not the fact he left, but the dignified way it was managed, but Cole, Lamps, Drogba and now Terry's departure have all been messy, despite which, I expect them all to be back at the club at some stage. Hiddink recently said that if he was asked, that Terry should be offered a new deal and it's strange how his performances have improved, as have that of the team, since his arrival. I know he's getting on, but I sometimes think we should be asking Hiddink to stay as manager!

There's going to be a huge backlash about this from the fans and rightly so. I'd love him to stay and I think he should stay, he deserves to be given the chance to see his career out at the club. No doubt this will be a news item for weeks, rather than any good news that might emanate from the Bridge during that time.

Nice praise here from Arsene Wenger:

I wonder if Chelsea fans still think Roman was wrong to get rid of Mourinho. As for Wenger`s praise of Terry it shows he has more class than the Eye-poking one.

Guardiola`s off to Man C at the end of the season. What a brave decision joining a club with unlimited funds. I wonder if he will be treated like Klopp if things don`t go well to start with. Darling of the press at first then the negatives come into play. Who will Man U and Chelsea be looking for now?

I couldn't believe Wengers team selection for last nights game. In the FA cup game at the weekend he had players back from injury and his new signing so fielded a strong bench instead of players I've never heard of. I didn't think Flamini would play again for Arsenal, barring another run of injuries. He started with Flamini & Campbell, neither would have made the bench for me with the players he now has available although Walcott & Oxlade Chamberlain haven't impressed me in recent weeks. What do the Arsenal fans think?

The Spuds looking good for a Champions League place next season but Arsenals title challenge seems to be fading.
And United.....2 goals before half time.....thats double the seasons total,so far  .....3 goals in each of the last 2 matches and mid-table Chelsea up next !

Another little factlette that I have justfound................

Dele Alli has now scored as many Premier League goals as Jack Wilshere. That didn't take long did it?

Enough bickering between north London's bitter rivals, glad to see Jamie Vardy finding his scoring boots again, his first goal last night was a worthy contender for goal of the season and great to see Leicester continuing their great run. Probably their two most difficult games of the season coming up next, away to Man C and Arsenal, but avoid defeat in both games and they're still in with a realistic chance of causing a big upset come the end of the season.

Totally agree with your point about Flamini and Campbell starting, though I would have Campbell on the bench for the time being.
Also agree with the remarks regarding Walcott and Ox.

That said, the first half was average, but in the second we should have buried them.
Forster in the Southampton goal was outstanding and singlehandedly saved the Saints from a drubbing.
You could say ours was bad finishing, but he made quite a few smart saves.
On another day it could have easily been 3 or 4 nil.

Still, next up it's Bournemouth on sunday with it all still to play for, . . . . despite all our dramas in the physio room this season.

Why is the goalkeeper always the man of the match against Arsenal :banghead:

I would like Leicester to get into the Champions League if only to hear the foreign commentators try to pronounce their name.

Manchester City 1 Leicester 3
Leicester fully deserved their win, although they rode there luck at times.....what a goal from Mahrez to make it 2-0....Leicester now 6 points clear at the top but that will be reduced if either the Spuds or Arsenal win.
Huth, amazingly, scored 2 just to repay me for demoting him to the subs bench of my FF team ! :banghead:

If the trophy could just be handed over to the 'best team' this year - Spurs would finally have a worthwhile trophy under their belt (since 2+ decades ago) already.

As it stands, we're going to have to 'rough it out'' for the next few months to ensure that the trophy goes to its rightful owners.

Would be a fair result to win the league,,,, I doubt it'll happen with the kind of luck we get, mind.
