Hell of a game... And yes, the Scots were a tad fortunate!

Well, game over at half time by the look of things, with Steward unlucky to get a red card. Shame, as England have been doing well.

Well, first of all, there can be no doubt that the best two teams finished 1st and 2nd. No sour grapes today.

Having said that, I'm English. Our team has been dire, absolutely criminally dreadful on many occasions during this 6 Nations, but today I thought they were, if not magnificent, at least hugely courageous. They finished the game very much on the front foot, despite being down to 13 men after another pretty harsh card from the ref, and they can feel very proud of themselves.
Ireland crush 14-man England to seal Grand Slam
I can only think that was written by an Irishman!!

And a couple of hours later it reads:

That's a bit more like it!!

Where are you, pharvey? You can't be that disappointed. Wales lost, as expected, but while they didn't cover themselves in glory, they weren't utterly humiliated like we were last week!

Apologies - the after effects of a visit to the Specialist in Swansea on Friday, the "Minor Op", subsequent meds and well the fact that I require a glass or two whilst watching Wales play - the mix didn't work!!

England's Red Card... Well, under the strictest rules, it was - but feck me, it was harsh and stuffed the match. Ireland deserved the GS though it's a tussle for Number One status vs France that's for sure! Whilst never with a look in, I was proud of Wales yesterday - we didn't give in and no doubt pissed off Shaun E by scoring four tries!! A hell of a lot of work to do, but we'll get through the Group Stages in France no doubt.

Once a wake up in a couple of hours, I'll post the Table and some more thoughts....

Well, a mixed bag of a tournament - Ireland deserved Grand Slam Winners, though some would say a missed opportunity for Les Bleus who certainly hit top gear against the Lillywhites. This year must be France's best chance of the RWC (so far). The best French team I've seen in many years, playing on home soil and the way the draw has gone - 3 of the World's top 5 sides aren't going to make the semi's......

As for the HHF Prediction League, from a Forum point of view, congrats to Oz! At least Dai_L beat me to last place...... Though that doesn't say much for the Welsh predictive qualities!!

Christ, a feast of Rugby today - after the Keystone Cops (aka Cardiff) last night... they just got the win!

Scarlets with a huge win over the Sharks (NOT based in Sale DM) and the Sharks suffering before a trip to Leinster (a cracking game on the cards).

Ahh the Quins..... "Ball Shaver Wannabe Wendyballer Smith" couldn't and didn't change things - Sarries and Billy Vunipola put paid to that IMHO. Seems Vunipola does not get on with (new England Coach) Steve Borthwick, so is looking at France/Japan as a payday rather than more English Caps. A loss to the Lillywhites I think, but go for it Billy!

And no DM - didn't watch the Irish game.... I am that "Wuss".. :D

PeteC - Come on, you know you want to watch the URC (United Rugby Championship) ...... Us Welsh, Scottish, Irish and now South Africans :thumb:

As a true supporter, you have to follow your side rain or shine - difficult times for a Welsh rugby and Bath supporter!!

Then this weekend.... BIG Scarlets win and then Bath vs Exeter. I was fully expecting a significant loss, however Bath produced their best display of the season and more quite frankly - with new players and coaches coming in, next season could look a great deal different from the last few (several) years.
