Travel within Cambodia out of those 8 provinces is also banned.
Also a 9 pm-3 am curfew in all major cities and towns nationwide.
All bars, massage places, dining-in, etc. also closed - all of these measures initially for the next 2 weeks.

70% of targeted 10 million people (out of a population of 16 million) already vaccinated, remainder to be completed by November.

Vaccine free for everyone, with little bureaucracy for foreigners.
I turned up at the local referral hospital with only my passport. Was back out again with my first jab within 25 minutes.
good for you :D
out of curiosity which vaccine did you get
Sinopharm

Plenty of mask in their publicity pics, but what happened to 'social distancing'?

Have you seen the social distancing at today's Prachuap vaccine queue?

This appears to be the result of people reading too much social media and believing it was a walk-in vaccination rather than based on registration.

Amid a lot of info in that article the chief of PKK public health said that most cases in the province are still the English variant, though they have seen 2 cases of Delta. However they have sent multiple samples from various clusters (including Pre-Built) away for analysis.

That just beggar's belief. Those vaccines offered, if I read it correctly, were for the over 60's and underlying conditions who have registered. Those pics show quite clearly that many were certainly not in that group.

Stupidity seems to be a fashion here.

Edit: Having said that, there were many similar scenarios coming from the UK.

Probably found them all not infected after subsequent tests. Not the first time that stunt has been pulled.

China outbreak spreads as WHO sounds alarm on Delta
Mushrooming outbreaks of the highly contagious Delta variant prompted China and Australia to impose stricter Covid-19 restrictions on Saturday as the WHO urged the world to quickly contain the mutation before it turns into something deadlier and draws out the pandemic.

China's most serious surge of coronavirus infections in months spread to two more areas Saturday -- Fujian province and the sprawling megacity of Chongqing.

More than 200 cases have been linked to a Delta cluster in Nanjing city where nine cleaners at an international airport tested positive, with the outbreak spanning Beijing, Chongqing and five provinces as of Saturday.

The nation where the disease first emerged has rushed to prevent the highly transmissible strain from taking root by putting more than one million people under lockdown and reinstituting mass testing campaigns.

Worldwide, coronavirus infections are once again on the upswing, with the World Health Organization announcing an 80% average increase over the past four weeks in five of the health agency's six regions, a jump largely fuelled by the Delta variant.

First detected in India, it has now reached 132 countries and territories.
