So what is going on around here and where does it happen? This section is for discussion on local events, festivals, and holidays as well as activities and things to do.
A lot of the conversation on Wednesday was regarding timing, the feeling was that it would be better in the early evening - so this week we will do the same beer and food deals from 5pm till 8 pm on Thursday the 15th - we have some fantastic live music from a super talented performer!
Look forward to seeing plenty of people here!

I'm getting ready for a house move but will do my best to attend. Would have also liked to attend Guess's money-raising event, since I quite enjoy a game of pool but unfortunately I had a course running. If the collection tin is still being passed around I'd still like to contribute.
I'm not the organizer but would nevertheless like to appeal to anyone carrying negative feelings, stemming from controversial board topics, to resist the urge to unload on other members and leave it at home. Or come to my place and I'll give you an ancient herbal 'tonic' that will rid you of your baleful resentment. It will also strip the lining of your stomach and dissolve your fillings
It's understandable that cliques will form, where members have shared interests. So no doubt there will be a 'boozers' table and maybe a 'teetotal' table.
I'll be sitting alone on the 'Pure As The Driven Snow' table

If it's no longer there, I believe there is a collection box located in JD's Hua Hin Ham & Bacon shop. It is a very good cause, and I know that Chris is grateful for all contributions, no matter how large or small
If this chat club takes off, is it only open to expats or to all forum members, i would like to come along in November, also is it a bit of a boys club or could i drag the wife along she is fluent english speaking, she also has some strong opinions and is some what amusing.

Is Bangkok a place or a nasty injury.......Eric Morcombe.
Sounds like a successful evening, though a low turnout. Sorry I didn't make it but as you know I'm more of a daytime guy. [Edited at the request of the poster]
Maybe we can do another lunchtime or mid afternoon one sometime.
