I second that Sarge. Very best wishes to you both - lets' hope Missy is on track to get back to HH March as you hoped (and with hair intact - amazing!)

I am as happy as a dog with two dicks just got of off msn msgr talking to my brother in law

Missy went to get the results of her scan which was done after she finished her 4 cycles of chemo therapy

Yippee the cancer has shrunk from over half of her left lung to slightly less than a third
according to the doc it is still shrinking and they will only monitor her each fortnight
She has picked up an infection which was to quote BinL all the doc seem worried about so she is on strong anti biotics but she should be over that in a couple of weeks

The best news i have had this year

So thanks for your prayers they are still working and it is much appreciated :D :D

Well done to Missy, now Sarge, what are you going to do with two D***s at your age?
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

From what he's told me, he can't even use the one!

Seriously Sarge, great to hear about your sister's improvement. Tell her I'm thinking about her and rooting for her to beat this thing entirely, and after meeting her, if anyone can, I think she can! :thumb:
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

It is with the greatest sadness that I inform you that Missy passed away at 1530 today almost to the minute she was booked to arrive at swampy for her holiday
I am glad to say she was in no pain and passed away peacefully with her husband of 40 years holding her hand and for that I am extremely thankful
When she returned to the UK in August she was diagnosed with an 8 cm tumour in her left lung and untreated was given 2/3 month maximum she told the doctor she wanted Christmas with her family and she wanted to finish the dolls house for her great niece. The chemotherapy was successful and she had her Christmas finished the dolls house and had the bonus of having enough snow to help her grand niece build a snowman.
At the end of January she developed pneumonia but was responding well until 2 weeks ago the cancer metastasised to her lymph nodes
She was a great lady a carer looking after terminally ill patients in there own homes for many years, cheerful happy go lucky and generous she was a great sister mother and wife we will all miss her deeply
I personally wish with all sincerity to thank all of you for your prayers she got her Christmas with the people she loved most you all made and helped make that dream come true

Such sad news but at least she was granted her wish for one last Christmas.

I know you are going to miss her greatly. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Seeing this thread open again I was hoping to read that she had arrived for her holiday with you. Not to be. Very sad news Sarge. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and her. Pete
