I like Peter Crouch. He looks a bit gangly and like a basketball player but I seem to recall Liverpool was doing well when he was there. Who did they replace him with, Torres? Pete

With Torres being more effective as a loan front man, Crouch wasn't getting much playing time and wasn't happy sitting on the bench.

Benitez was mocked by the British press for buying Crouch but he came good, scored us some important goals and was sold at a profit, good player.

Now, role on Arsenal-Barca. 8)

Would like to see an Arsenal victory today. Always nice when an English team beats Barca. I will root for all the English teams as usual until maybe Spurs get drawn against one if we can get through the next few games.

barca are clear favourites, not just against us, but for the tournament.

that said, they are not super human & are beatable, though i would suggest a better chance would be in the final instead of over two legs. :(

one things for sure, we'll have to be on top of our game to get a result tonight.
maybe then we'll have a chance in the return leg :|

Whilst it was not much of a headbut it would have been enough to put a modernday player on the floor looking for blood. Clearly they were tougher in Jordan`s day.

Steven Gerrards Autobiography wrote:I wasn't worried about Gennaro Gattuso before the game, during the game or after. To me, he's all mouth. He looks aggressive, but in fact he's as scary as a kitten. I swear I wouldn't mind playing against Gattuso every week. He doesn't hurt you. I have never seen Gattuso play a killer ball. He won't nick a goal, either.

... Gattuso just plays for the fans. Theatrical. Emotional. The Italian was also the one Milan player who had a smirk on his face leaving the pitch at half-time. I saw it. Fuck you.
I doubt he was smirking after the match. 8)

I can't normally watch the Arse - a throwback to the boring, boring days, but tonight was an exception. I actually enjoyed the game - well done to both sides  :thumb: .
