I tried making a substitute a few days ago but suppose that I can't until the game week is over.
Oh well, hey ho :banghead:
Maybe you should use your wildcard & do a complete overhaul?

This means you can change as many players as you like, the whole team even, with no penalties.
You have 2 wildcards at your disposal, but the second one can only be used in january.

IMO, I would wait a bit Lomu as it's still too early to see patterns. Expensive players are doing poorly and cheap players a doing well but a big BUT, too early to determine if this will keep up. I've played the transfer game almost every week and it hasn't helped. I think I'm going to give things until end October to see who really establishes themselves as consistent players. Of course by then I may be so far behind it makes no difference what I do. Pete

Pete.
My pattern is already established - no points. IMO, this calls for drastic measures but I'll think about it for at least another 5 minutes!!

Just getting back onto the transfers theme.....
As has been said, you get 1 transfer per week with no points deduction.....after that -4 points for each transfer.....
but dont forget if you dont do a transfer you can carry that one transfer through to the next week whereby you can then do 2 transfers without points deduction......2 is the maximum you are allowed to do,though......so if you dont do transfers for 3 weeks
then you can still only do 2 free transfers not 4......if that makes sense ??
When you get into the site with your user name and click "transfers" it will tell you how many you are currently allowed to do for free. 8)

Wey Hey. Cracked it after only two months
I've got rid of some dross for next week's fixtures, made transfers successfully (I had two 'cause I'd never done any before) and read the injury alert so kicked one of my players onto the subs bench. Also changed captain and vice captain.
You wait, I'll either start a meteoric rise up the table or be last very soon.
This is more fun now. I had just let my team stand as originally picked up until now :rasta:

Don't forget your wildcards. One can only be used during the official transfer window in January. The other one you can use at anytime and transfer your whole team if you want with no points deducted. Pete

I have a wild card went to use it and it told me I would lose 4 points. Is there a trick to using these. Thanks

No trick, just click on transfers, make as many alterations as you want (whole team?).
When you get to the 'confirm transfers' stage, click on the wildcard option.

Despite what it shows during the process, no points will be deducted when you use the wildcard.

One thing is certain about fantasy football, if you start off badly it's just about impossible to catch up or even rise to mid-league unless several others crash badly. I could make transfers for the rest of my life and I bet I don't get above 5 from the bottom this year. Moral of the story......pick your initial team very wisely or, use your wild card almost immdiately before you fall too far behind. Pete
