It's just convenience for me as it's often got most stuff I'm after like bits for a house, electrical bits, banks are in there, bit of food out of Tescos, book/dvd/toy for the kid. Plus me son like going over there cos of the kids play area and toys shops. I can get everything I need, get him an ice cream and have a beer outside in the front area with nice ladies walking around everywhere. Bascially wander round all very chilled out.STEVE G wrote:I went to MV once in June to buy a door handle but since I've been back in Europe I've managed to avoid shopping malls completely as I'm here working by myself. I seem to be able to do all the shopping I need in the 24 hour service station down the road where you can buy a range of alcoholic beverages and disposable razors.
We go to the night or grand market to eat or for other stuff they have, but for the above stuff the alternative would be a parking mare in a car or a very non-relaxed ride halfway round town to different places trying to keep the both of us on the motorbike. And I can't seem to do that on empty roads. I don't really get this stigma some people place on shopping malls other than that they're not 'cool' when you could be down Chat Chai market desperately trying to make yourself understood to a grumpy old lady with potentially the longest hair in the world firmly rooted in a chin wart. They never have what I want and they always smell of kitekat.
If you need some cash, decent'ish bread, a junior hacksaw+tin of cat food, an ice cream and a beer and there's a building in town with ATM machines, a bread shop, somewhere selling junior hacksaws+kitekat, that has ice cream parlour and places for a beer then surely it's a good bet
