So what is going on around here and where does it happen? This section is for discussion on local events, festivals, and holidays as well as activities and things to do.
With Dusit Thani Hua Hin Football Academy, you just never know who might drop in for training. In recent months our kids have been surprised and thrilled to have two big names pass on their tips and tricks of the trade:
First it was Stanley Menzo (on the left), the legendary gentle giant, who represented the Dutch team in the World Cup and played countless matches and won many trophies with Ajax Amsterdam (Apologies for the picture quality and a shame our cameraman was away that day ).
Then it was Belgian Under-21 International, Tom Peeters (white shirt in the centre of the back row), who counts English Premier League Sunderland amongst his list of clubs.
Of course we have our two experienced overseas ex-professional head coaches on hand at every session and we are expecting another very interesting and surprising visitor to drop in in the next week or two

Thank you for two thousand views within our first month on the forum
It took us five years to come on here. Hope you think the wait was worth it.
Your feedback is much appreciated in our efforts to support youth football in the commumity at affordable prices.
Sorry for no updates, been away on business since the matches on Sunday. Anyway, here goes starting with the Man of the Day:
MOTD: The award for Man of the Day goes to the highly versatile Nathan Chalokdee who proved his worth in more ways than one, not least when ghosting past three players to set up the opening goal of the game for teammate Jonatan Berg during an extremely creditable 1 - 1 draw for the Under-9 team against the formidable Bangkok Centre Soccer Academy.
Nathan won most of his combative challenges and displayed a creative edge during the fine counter-attacking display from his side.
Well done Nathan! Keep up the good work and we look forward to seeing you featured again as our coveted Man of the Day before too long.

A tough day at the office in the final league match of the season against Bangkok Centre Soccer Academy, the champions of each division. However, a good crowd was on hand:

‘Thailand’s Got Talent’...and so has Dusit Thani Hua Hin Football Academy!
So much of it that our coach Steve, himself a recently retired professional with top-level experience in the English and Belgian Premier Leagues, felt moved to invite his agent, Patrick de Koster (see below), to come and run the rule over all of the academy’s bright young talent during training on 7th and 8th March.
Amongst the host of stars on Patrick’s books is Belgian international Kevin de Bruyne, who played in the English Premier League under Jose Mourinho before a multi-million-pound move to Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga (see above).
Though we can’t let the cat completely out of the bag, all being well, this will be the start of a mutually beneficial link up with a Belgian professional team and more opportunities for our valued registered players.
This is just another example of our Dusit Thani Hua Hin Football Academy’s desire to offer support and opportunities for youth footballers in the local community.

To allow our special visitor (see previous post), Patrick de Koster, to run the rule over the academy in a competitive environment, friendly matches have been arranged against the local Hua Hin Seahorse Academy on Sunday, with schedule as follows:

Authorised FIFA Players' Agent, Patrick de Koster, who includes Kevin de Bruyne (and our coach Steve) on his books, arrived safely yesterday and will be running the rule over the academy during today's training and tomorrow's friendly matches:
Thank you Patrick for fitting us into your busy schedule and helping us bring our kids' dreams to fruition in the coming months and years.
Let's hope for much bigger moments than this one last year when our Under 15s downed the mighty Arsenal in the Gunner' International Cup in Bangkok
If all goes well and to plan, we hope one day one or two boys might be following coach Steve's steps on the European stage

Thanks to Patrick de Koster for spending so much time advising the boys on how to make it as a footballer during yesterday's session.
We are all excited by the prospect of working closely together to offer great undreamt of experiences and opportunities for our registered members. Hopefully, some of the boys impress again today in match conditions

Please Note: As some of the registered players have some school activities, the kick-off time for today's friendly matches has been put back to 2.45 P.M. to give everybody the chance to be properly prepared and take part in the matches.
