Agree, but 'nice' doesn't work with some of the naive fools you get over here.

Would you not consider it moronic, stupid, daft, naive not to look at the quality of houses on a project (and not just 1 show house), before putting a lifetime of savings into it ?

It's a no brainer to me.

Might be a no brainer to you burger, but your an exceptional genius who has never made a mistake in his life, knows everything about everything and would never ever be duped!. But some of us cannot always see the quality of what we're buying, especially house buying. Did you not read this thread from the beginning?

Did you ever hear the story about Mercedes 100K C class cars that had faulty suspensions after thousands of people bought? They called them all back and repaired them and gave compensation.

Did you ever here the story about leaking roofs on new houses in Hua Hin where many many people bought? The developers DID NOT WANT TO KNOW

Thanks for the compliments :D I've made more mistakes in life than most, just can't get my head around why people act differently the moment they land in Thailand, to what they would back home. Maybe it's the sun, sea and seventeen year olds

If people can't look at a house and judge it's quality, or are too tight to hire professsional people to do it for them, then they are being naive IMHO.
Would you dream of buying a house back home and not having a building survey carried out ? No, course not.

Under the contract the builder/developer should fix a leaky roof, if he doesn't you get off your ar$e and pay someone that will, few thousand Baht max. The alternative is to whinge about it on a website while your head gets wet.
But some of us cannot always see the quality of what we're buying
Give me an example of why you, your hired nuetral architect (3,000 Baht per vist) or your hired local building inspector from the Testabahn (3,000 Baht per visit) can not see the quality of a house already built ??

The Merc reference is plain daft, how many sofisticated mechanical parts make up a house ?? A 4,500 Baht water pump ??
