Back on topic.
I've been coming to Thailand for the last 16 years and have managed to live here for the past 6.I'm still relatively young, 53. The one and only thing that brought me here was the weather.
To be honest, if I was very wealthy, I would spend my time living abroad
(no specific country) and in the UK.
Thailand is affordable and I am quite happy living here.
As for others, I have seen many come and go, mostly through their own stupidity, each to their own and there but for the grace of God go I........

Don't most expats go home in a box? or do they allow our bones to stay here without a visa?

I access the situation each year. Having property back in the homeland is a bit like a safety net. I love living here however knowing I can return home at any time is nice . . .
It's now or never.
