Exactly, mistakes happen, and they can hurt, but no point dwelling on them. Have your moan for a couple of hours afterwards, but then move on - you aren't going to change history, and that has been written when the final whistle blows.

I wonder how many other teams the Scots and Welsh will have to support before they see a victory

BigBoy touring HH in the Ford Ranger, flying the Cross of St George and lip-sinking to "Three Lions" whilst it's blaring on the stereo... Come on, what odds will you give me?

Either you've got the date wrong, or we've all fallen for it. Isn't it France vs Holland tomorrow night?

[Edit] I've just checked - there is no 3rd place play-off

Apparently there is no playoff for third place so just the final on Sunday

It's getting serious when you start losing whole days. My sense of time has been knocked for 6 (no pun intended) by the cricket; the test match started on Wednesday this week, which seems all wrong to me, so I keep having to check the calendar.
(Actually, it's worked out well. We finished off the Windies after an hour of day 3 this morning, which means there's no conflict with the weekend's rugby.)
This is the way

We almost did Italy in '21. This time we ride a roaring bull.

But finals are strange affairs.

Dare to dream.

Banter ... 'anyone but the English'. :violin:

The ad is about half way down the page.

For those teams not in the final, again: :violin:
