Just as predicted. After flooding the country with ATK's, positive results are rising rapidly. Of course, time will tell. I'm sure the UK will be watching closely as their reservation for keeping Thailand on the 'red' list is the lack of testing.

Government tacitly approves new Bangkok opening date
The Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration and several members of the cabinet on Wednesday will consider a new November 1 reopening date for Bangkok after disagreements between several government bodies.
Bangkok was originally scheduled to reopen to vaccinated tourists by October 1 which was later pushed back to October 15 due to protests by Bangkok Governor Asawin Kwanmuang.
The Bangkok governor’s office said that those dates were premature due to still-high Covid-19 infection numbers and not enough vaccinations for people in the capital.
Now according to the members of the government, a November 1 reopening date has been tacitly approved by the CCSA, the cabinet, and the Bangkok governor if vaccination rates reach 70 per cent of Bangkok’s population and infection numbers lower.
Now we're seeing the numbers of ATK positives, it becomes obvious that the main published figures are under reported. BB mentioned that it may be because of positives being counted twice. i.e. once from an ATK and again from a PCR confirmation. As it's already the policy to only refer symptomatic cases for confirmation, that leaves the bulk to be ignored. Assuming 80% of cases are asymptomatic according to various reports, only 20% of positive ATK tests are likely to be counted again in the PCR confirmation.
Either way, it's just one more 'cover up' with the aim of showing the world that Thailand has the virus under control!

I think these twunts actually believe they can hoodwink the International community because they get away with it here under their strict regime.

Well it's not worked with the UK. They've already seen through the propaganda noting that testing is far too low. Although the number of tests is not published, it's easy to estimate based on the positivity. That's why Thailand remains on the 'red' list.

ATK positives are still very significant with over 3,000 yesterday. Of course they'll still be ignored!

The percentage of asymptomatic cases is highly variable, depending on which study you look at. 80% would be at the very top end of the various estimates. The average would seem to be about 25%, overall.
According to a meta-analysis that was published in March 2021:
The proportion of asymptomatic infections among the included studies ranged from 1.4% to 78.3%.
[...]
the weighted pooled proportion of asymptomatic COVID-19 cases throughout the course of infection was 25%

I won't argue with your link. However, I was basing my figures on Thailand's published asymptomatic percentage. The powers that be claim as much as 86% asymptomatic and at least 80%.
When commenting on the published figures in Thailand, I will use their figures rather than mix them with reports elsewhere.
Correction: Last month 70 - 80% are claimed to be asymptomatic.
