BBC Solar System is currently airing. A five-part documentary delving deeper into the mysteries of the worlds in our celestial neighborhood narrated by Prof. Brian Cox. Great for the science fans, I always learn something new with these docos.

Available on iPlayer and torrent sites.

On a slightly different theme, I watched for the first time last night (series 6 episode 2) of a programme called “digging for Britain) that highlighted many different aspects of life in Britain going back a few, up to 400,000 years - fascinating!!

So that’s her name - I didn’t catch it last night, I was too busy poised to catch her hidden treasures if she dropped them!!🤪

There was a time when I thought about her dropping them, perhaps to an unhealthy degree. She must be in her 50s now. I fell in lust with her 20 odd years ago, and as the years passed that lust metamorphosed into an affectionate, and slightly regretful, respect.

Watched part 1 last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Prof Cox has a way of putting things across that make them understandable even for science morons like myself. Fantastic CGI.

Image Agree. Spectacular locations in Iceland in episode 1, and the extraterrestrial animations are great too.

^ "Solar System" has been stunning - the thing is, it shows how incredibly beautiful our own planet is!!

Going to the opposite end of the scale and the (violent) sports, and for fans of British Boxing - "4 Kings" is quite something!! Bruno vs Lewis and Benn vs Eubank, all four tell their stories through this series. Well worth the watch for boxing fans: -

I've just watched Mad About The Boy: The Noel Coward Story on BBC iPlayer. He's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but he was most definitely a one-off, rather in the manner of Oscar Wilde. Like him or not, this is a fascinating study of the man, much of it in his own words, with no punches pulled.

For history buffs, this has been a good watch: -

"Secrets of Great British Castles" - I've been watching on "Sky History", but I'm sure will be available on the usual Torrent Sites. It's one I missed, but was aired 2015 to 2016.

Attenborough and his team have done it again: a new series on iPlayer called Asia, and it's as fascinating as ever. The first episode is Beneath the Waves.

Superb. iPlayer won't do HD for me, so I will find this on torrents.

Just watched the first Episode - superb as ever, but having worked, lived and travelled in Asia for many years, this series is going to be quite special for me I think. :thumb:

Buksida will enjoy all no doubt, but with his experiences of diving and photography, this first episode will have him hooked! :thumb:

Yes, it's excellent. I watched ep 2 over my Rice Krispies.

I did wonder at one point during ep 1 if they'd tinkered with his voice - he sounded as though he'd shed 50 years. Googled it and found I was not the only one.

Did they "Snap, Crackle and Pop" or were you not using Proper Full Fat? :D
