Ho hum....

Bloody stupid penalty to give away. Smart play from Arfa but you see that kind of penalty all the time.

On a brighter note this time last season we'd lost 5-1 to City at home. :D

Hit the post a couple of times, played alright. I think a draw would have been a fair result TBH

At least we can still score goals RZR. I have a feeling we are going to see quite a few no scoring games from the Arse this season.

Was a little harsh for us today but that's footie.

Edit: Don't forget we were without Modric (or his replacement) and Parker amongst others and playing a good team away from home. I'm sure in the reports it will say we were worth the point at least. Doesn't change matters though as at the end of the day - we lost!

All is not lost thought. I'd be more unhappy with/worried about a 0-0 draw at home to Sunderland TBH.

Just to add...

If we don't pick up 6 points from our next two games at home I will certainly be a little edgy about what the season holds in store for the Mighty Spurs.

Well - here we go.............

Arsenal 0 - 0 Sunderland - No van Persie no scorie - whoops
Fulham 5 - 0 Norwich - Good start for the Cottagers :o
QPR 0 - 5 Swansea - Likewise for the Swans :o
Reading 1 - 1 Stoke - Good holding start :|
West Brom 3 - 0 Liverpool - We'll let BaaBaa make the excuses there 8) :neener: :butt:
West Ham 1 - 0 Aston Villa - Nice one for the Hammers :rasta:
Newcastle 2 - 1 Tottenham - Well, let's face it that was a bloody stupid penalty to give away. Considering we've got no strikers, it was a good game away to a good team. Ba's goal was sublime and Defoe did what he's paid for - strike when it matters. Thought Pardew's banishment to the stands was a bit OTT. :thumb:

Guys, its the 1st day of a long season, what's the panic for? Oh, and Defoes goal was offside, shouldn't have been allowed. 3 hours to my teams KO! No idea how it will go.

"KO" means knock out in British also, right? Pete

It took until Feb/March before the commentators stopped mentioning the loss of Fabregas and Nasri as excuses for Arsenal, no doubt every low scoring game will be attributed to RVP going to United. No excuses from me, Giraud should have scored. Look on the bright side, at least I don`t support Norwich or QPR.
As an aside were WBA using the system set up by Roy Hodgson to beat Liverpool?

Chelski looked alright today. Will have to wait till they play a team other than a wobbly table propper upper to get the full picture though.

Baa Baa, Was just thinking that Agger must be out for 3 games now for the red card if I'm right. I rate that guy a lot so with the games you have coming that is surely a massive blow.

On to the City game....

I hope they make a right Royal F**k up of it to be honest. I've all but given up on doing very well on IKTS after week one so simply want to take pleasure in the poor hard done by Mankini complaining tomorrow that he wasn't given enough money to buy players.

Can't see them losing TBF though.

In the first week of football we have probably seen two penalties that were worse than any other from last season. David Villa a minute ago (absolute crap... I can safely say I could have done better) and the first one against Liverpool yesterday.

Not too sharp after the break maybe.... :?

You're not too sharp either, it's David Silva   & yes, it was a pretty lame effort.

I'm a bit miffed that my dream team captain was carried off early doors :( , especially as he's the regular penalty taker too :banghead:
