This is the craziest thing you'll hear today, and perhaps this year. They are marketing "positive" test swabs to be used to test the device that you are using to determine if it is accurate. (Disclaimer: That is what was explained to me. I guess you test 1 ATK device out of a batch to try to determine if the batch of kits is good?)

It appears though that many Thais used the swab to test themselves rather than a device, and of course tested positive, and ran off to hospitals to report themselves. Another repercussion perhaps is that since the "positive" swab has live Covid virus, they may have infected themselves! If anyone has additional information, please post.

Mmm. Have we plateaued and now coming down as was expected?
But I guess our government will claim it's because of their actions!

Mondays figures are Sundays actual and we all know that things don’t always get accurately reported over the weekend - if the figures remain stable over the next week or so then yes we may have plateaued, but I wouldn’t put my last dime on it just yet!!

There is still no updated SAT-MOPH chart for today. Earlier in February they announced that they were going to make a change to the daily reporting format. Perhaps now, March 1, is the start of that. We'll post more when we know more.

I guess no format change yet, just late reporting.

As explained in the articles linked to below, the positive control swabs in a batch of test kit are required to be there for regulatory purposes and do not contain live virus (because that would be crazy).
The tests are not “preloaded” [with live virus] to give a result. The swabs are used to make sure that a sample test is working correctly.
