Wrong. I’m at Bluport Immigration right now. They do single and multiple re-entries. Just spoke with an officer to confirm.

Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
I got a single re-entry last November from Bluport.
It was only on the plane on my way back, when filling out the arrival/departure card, that I noticed that Imm hadn't written a serial number on the stamp so I had nothing to put in the "visa number" box.
Thought I might have trouble at Swampy but the officers laughed it off and said no problem.
That's probably just a one-off situation but I should have known better and checked the permit properly before leaving Bluport.

When arriving on 30 days excemption stamp and is starting the process of making Non O immigrant visa based on retirement, what is the correct form to use? TM87 or TM7?

Is this what you intend to do huahin4ever, if so I’ll be very interested to follow how you get on, because I’m contemplating the same - moving from an O-A to an O visa later this year to avoid the need for medical insurance (assuming of course that they don’t change the rules)!!huahin4ever wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 1:53 am When arriving on 30 days excemption stamp and is starting the process of making Non O immigrant visa based on retirement, what is the correct form to use? Well not quite the same. I will apply for retirement visa with only a 30 days stamp in pp which is not moving from another visa. It is no visa at all, only visa excempt stamp, so not changing visa. This was done by a couple of my friends in HH so I hope HH Immigration still does this.Dannie Boy wrote:Is this what you intend to do huahin4ever, if so I’ll be very interested to follow how you get on, because I’m contemplating the same - moving from an O-A to an O visa later this year to avoid the need for medical insurance (assuming of course that they don’t change the rules)!!huahin4ever wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 1:53 am When arriving on 30 days excemption stamp and is starting the process of making Non O immigrant visa based on retirement, what is the correct form to use? I had marriage visa, but due to covid it has expired, so for me it will be easier to get retirement visa now when I'm over 50. Income/money in the bank is no issue

I didn’t explain properly - my O-A vis will expire while I’m in the UK so I’ll either come back and get the 30 day exemption or apply for a 2-month tourist visa in the UK and then apply for the O visa once I get back to Thailand.

Last November I discovered and confirmed that my parents could apply for and receive their O visa (Non-immigrant O) while they were still in the USA, via the website of the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles. When they arrived in Thailand they were stamped in for 90 days and after 45 days they then applied for and received the one year renewal. I suspect this is also an option from the U.K. and if so it might save you an extra step and maybe even some fees.Dannie Boy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 2:59 pm I didn’t explain properly - my O-A vis will expire while I’m in the UK so I’ll either come back and get the 30 day exemption or apply for a 2-month tourist visa in the UK and then apply for the O visa once I get back to Thailand.

Thanks for the heads-up, I’ll definitely check to see if it’s possible because I’m sure that doing it when I return will be made more difficult by Immigration than need be!! The one thing I’m surprised at though is how you can convince them that you have the necessary funds in the bank?Scout wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 7:56 amLast November I discovered and confirmed that my parents could apply for and receive their O visa (Non-immigrant O) while they were still in the USA, via the website of the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles. The funds don’t have to be in a Thai bank, my parents had funds in their USA bank. As I recall it also didn’t need to be equivalent to 800k baht, after all you are only applying for a 90 day visa. For their one year renewal the normal 800k baht (or 65k baht monthly transfers, 12 of them) requirement did apply.Dannie Boy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 8:15 amThanks for the heads-up, I’ll definitely check to see if it’s possible because I’m sure that doing it when I return will be made more difficult by Immigration than need be!! Ok thanks Scout, it certainly sounds worth pursuing once I get to the UK - I’ll post updates at the timeScout wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 11:01 amThe funds don’t have to be in a Thai bank, my parents had funds in their USA bank. Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
I note that Dansinkhorn Immigration has been closed. Has it only been closed for cross border trade or is it also closed for 90 day day reports proof of address for driving licence etc. I would appreciate information on this from anyone who has attempted to use this service since the closure was announced. The newspaper report simply stated that the closure took place at the instruction of the Myanmar government and not the Thai government.
Re: 'How To' - Requirements for visa extensions etc
I thought it was the border crossing as opposed to the Thai Immigration Office.
