Big thanks again to you guys, we were planning on attending the hospital in the morning for our 2nd PCR test, have managed to arrange our appointments, but it says be there 9am, so wonder how many others will be there at that time also.

A lot of Airlines require a negative PCR test, but when I flew to the UK (appreciate US could be different) the test could be done up to 3 days before departure - there was no other requirement for leaving Thailand.

It was also 3 days for the US but they changed it around a month ago

Anyway, wish us luck. GN.
I had my second done on Tuesday at HHH.
There were a couple of forms to fill in that were collected from a lady by the main entrance and then inside to the main entrance hall which was busy and cramped - no distancing - with others coming in and through the queues to get to other areas. That was for registration and it took about an hour.
After that, more queues right outside but they moved quicker and then a short walk to covered areas at the road entrance off Petchkasem Road for the test itself which was quick.
All in all I was there about 1.5 hours and arrived around 8.50am

Bangkok Hospital turn the test around in 2 or 3 hours. But it costs of course.
Edit: Actually not a lot as I thought. Around 800 baht.

I assume that is 800 Baht on top of the normal PCR cost?

That’s a very tight turnaround and can’t be many places in Thailand offering a 24 hour service - the airport facility might be your best option?

That's what I'm thinking except I'm not sure their hours and can't seem to find any contact info. Bee well seems to be the best bet, if you go in the morning for 500 bt extra they will have in the evening.

I did PCR test at Bangkok Hospital on Tuesday. 4700 baht. Test taken at 14:00 and result available next day around 10:30. I asked if the turn-around for the result was 12 hours as they say on the webpage, but when I booked my appointment they said the result will be issued next day before 12. So it took about 19 hours.
I don't understand. My friend (daughter's boyfriend) had to make a hasty exit as his father had had a heart attack. The Intercontinental directed him to BKK Hospital as they are the quickest. (He had a flight early hours of the next day). My daughter was with him and when asked for the bill it was definitely 800 baht. He got the result in a few hours.
I acknowledge the posts above but he confirms that it was just 800 baht. He wasn't asked for more.
He was insured for Covid (a requirement) so maybe his insurance covered the main lump.
I just browsed several insurance sites and there are some plans that do cover PCR tests when required. Knowing him, he would have the 'top dollar' insurance so I guess the test was covered and he just paid the 'fee'. Mystery solved.
