I didnt meet my partner in a bar and she isnt from Isaan though i was interested in a woman from the north east that lives in BKK prior but thats another story.

bladerunner2120, Yeah girls are better aye...LOL...I met my wife in a bar...here in Sydney, Cheers to be exact (duno if you've been to Sydney). It doesnt matter where you meet or how its that you are both happy and understand each other.

To me these threads are like pissing comps, where my wife comes from what her background is, blah blah blah. I duno but something about the topic gets under my skin. Its kind of that 'face' is becoming a thing in the westerners lives that come to Thailand and have Thai partners. Like it 'matters' how the next foreigner met his/her partner. Maybe the partners habits are rubbing off on us and we dont realise.

On courting the USA, they are still the most powerful military force in so many ways. I guess some want them in our corner.

A sydney bar you say....hmmm...lets face it a lot of guys go over to thailand and trawl the bars...the girls half there age makes them feel like there princes and they get caught up in a delision that she loves him....some will in time...some just want to earn a living and some may want to rip you off, often the bad storys we so often hear are from guys hooking up with bar girls or girls from the fringes of the seedy side of thailand.
My experiance's say that there are a percentage of thai girls from all over that like white guys just as there are a percentage of white guys that like asian girls...quite a few of the thai girls i know dont trust thai guys...either exhusbands or ex boy friends cheated on them/left them for someone else, they see us as trustworth that we treat women better, thats there perception...of course we can offer a better life...or so they think...i know of several cases where the girls found themselves in deep shit fianciaily, stuck in a rut for one reason or other...certianly not the life they thought they were going to lead once here.
Sure plenty marry for a better life...filipinos crawl the net for anything that has white shin and a penis. im sure some thai girls go after us too, but you guys with thai partners didnt you go looking for an asian gf too?
I did and i had my reasons and one of them was that ive always been into asian women, that my first vist i conected with thailand and there people, so when id had enough of the local varity wasting my time being uncomital and genraly screwd in the head i turned to look elsewhere, i dated few asian girls her in the past so it wasnt going to be new to me...i met my partner in a shoping centre in BKK, she was out shopping..i had got to know a few girls from the net chat rooms...i steered clear of bars, the women i got to know all had good jobs etc..i only went to bars much later on my vists but i already knew what to expect, for me it was just a night out, have a few drinks and get touched up..made my self esteem go sky high hahaha.
This original thread went on about how popular brits were to isaan women...hey let all them have em...plenty more in BKK alone, ive comented on that in the past anyway, after watching the tv series "Big trouble in tourist Thailand" british guys better hope isaan women havent seen it...
