A footnote to my earlier post. The other half moved back in today. The water never entered her house, but as you can imagine, has made a mess of the little land she has around it, apparently, lot's of mud everywhere. She's arranged a big clean up tomorrow.
But as she was opening her gate, the guy who runs the shop on the corner of her small soi run up with a goody bag, courtesy of the local Govt! He'd looked after it as he obviously knew she wasn't there when it was being delivered. It contained various food items - rice, noodles, fish balls, stuff in cans and jars etc.
A nice gesture, but I think she'd prefer they spend money on minimising the effects of the flooding!
