Update posted by the BBC on the cause of Eriksen's collapse and his current condition. Ultimately his career as a player at 29 must now be over - incredibly sad, but let's be honest it could have ended far worse. Huge hand to the medics, his captain and his teammates!
I extract the urine out of the sport and its players I know, but full respect here - not so much for the BBC
UPDATE: -
"Christian Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest when he collapsed in Denmark's Euro 2020 match against Finland, said Danish team doctor Morten Boesen.
Earlier, officials said the midfielder was stable in hospital and had sent his greetings to his national team-mates.
Eriksen collapsed shortly before half-time in Denmark's opening Euro 2020 game against Finland on Saturday.
"He was gone. We did cardiac resuscitation, it was a cardiac arrest," said Boesen.
"How close were we to losing him? I don't know, but we got him back after one [defibrillation] so that's quite fast."
The 29-year-old Inter Milan player had emergency medical treatment on the pitch before being taken to hospital.
"His condition is stable and he continues to be hospitalised for further examination," said a statement from Danish officials on Sunday morning."
A friend on our street - a DEVOUT Englishman, and fair play to him, told me it would be a boring win for England, but the fans would then believe the world was theirs........
Saw the result, didn't see the match - hey, I'm Welsh and a big rugby supporter. Congrats though..... I think

[EDIT] What would it do to English supporters should Wales win....
Then again, we reached the Semi's last time - where were England?

Oh dear....
Just remember, it's always coming home until it isn't
I'm thinking we (Wales) never had it anyway!!
I'm not a great supporter of the sport as you know, but in a competition where teams are actually going for the win, I'm all in. I am Welsh through in through, but shall be supporting our fellow UK teams!!
......... But Fekc you all when it comes to Cymru - sorry, has to be.

Of course, we should all be supporting the home nations, but predominantly our home nation. I'm embarrassed to say, I thought Wales were a 10pm K.O., and it was all but over before I realised
Just remember, if by some strange mishap it doesn't come home this year, it's the World Cup next year.
I must admit that I don’t watch many live games these days, so I found the game fairly mediocre. There were a few reasonable performances - Phillips played well and Sterling was better than I had expected, as did Mings - on the other hand, Kane was woeful, still a wins a win so bring on the Auld Enemy on Friday!!
I thought it was a pretty average performance by England, I'm quite amazed by the reactions of the critics being so ecstatic.
Kane was abysmal. He looked off the pace and a fish out of water. Was he playing in midfield or as centre forward? The three around him, Mount, Foden and Sterling, all play without a traditional No.9 and I wonder if that was a factor?
Even the very best can have a bad game. Or a really bad game in this case. We see it all the time. Remember watching Haaland, Neymar, Mbappe being completely useless in some champions league games this season. Happens.
Could have been adversely affected by the news of his mate the previous night, also. Maybe lost sleep. We don't know.
Either way, I'm confident Kane will come good this tournament. A 'dry' spell for him is never usually more than a game or two. Fingers crossed.
Scotland up next! Have we got any Scots on the forum? We used to have Jock before he was escorted of the premises.
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.
