You're entitled to your opinion. :D

As an avid England supporter, experience tells me that I've got to enjoy it while it lasts.

rzr,
Wasn't on the Thai or TrueVisions TV here, but were the Kazhakstanis wearing the 'mankini' kit as displayed by Borat? :?
Might explain the goal conceded - I gather Ashley Cole was to blame?

Good point rzr, although it was only Kazakhstan, Ali G was in goal for them :D

We need to save some 'win when you play bad' games for the important matches when we often fall a bit short.

On the lash again? :D

It was okay, Barry wasn't, Lamps and Gerrard seemed unsure? In hindsight, we should have had Wright-Phillips on from the start - to attack both wings. I thought Heskey had a really good game, leads well, plays with a lot of maturity, but he does need a goal!

As the opposition tired, we looked stronger and Becks made a great impact coming on as sub.

Its only in real competition, whoever you are playing, that a manager can really learn about his players and I'm sure this will see another step to his final line-up. I think he'll then stick to a settled team.

Hope so.

Actually, SJ, it might be me! I replied to your first post about the game without seeing the others! And then your posts on other threads - seems like you're doing pretty well to me, so apologies for casting (joking) aspertions.

Here's a treat for you! -

Boy goes to social services, tells them he has nowhere to live,

What about your parents?

"No, they beat me"

What about your grandparents?

"No, they beat me even harder"

Well, where do you want to stay then? Say's the social worker.

"Tottenham", say's the boy, "they don't beat anyone".......

(Apologies to BB if already posted :) )

no mankini kit i'm afraid :( & yes it was an error by cole but the crowd booing his every touch afterwards was a bit uncalled for, imo :?

fair play to the kazhaks, they fought hard & defended well in numbers but after the first goal ( a howler by their keeper :D ) they dropped off the pace a bit.
their goal did give them a small lift but rooney scored not long after & they then ran out of steam quite rapidly!!
overall not the greatest performance, but 5-1 is a good result even if it was only kazhakstan

Is a bit of an understatement, its disgraceful to boo your own players because they've made a mistake.

These part time football/England fans may as well piss off home if thats their idea of supporting your team.

It also wasn't shown in NZ. The only game offered to us was on ESPN being Sweden v Portugal 0-0 :cuss:

Strange the show Sweden vs Portugal in NZ when we couldn`t se it in Sweden. The game was bought by a small chanel so maybe 3-4 % of the sweds could se it.

If the World Cup Finals go ahead in SA I think the players need to aware of this. You will need to register and have a torrent client such as uTorrent to download this very recent Chanel 4 production.

I watched the Kazakhstan vs England match. England expectedly beat the underdogs 4 - 0 without even breaking a sweat. Boring game, which tells us very little about the English prospects for next year.

Wow, we managed to beat the giants today (Liechtenstein) 2-1. Now Wednesday it will be a bit easier when we play the Ruskies at home.

A draw between Croatia and Ukraine was good...Another win on Wednesday night and England are there :D

Nice to see the Aussie boys have qualified this time without the stupid playoffs.

Should be a good World Cup (if the stadiums are ready)
