And one of her assistants. Even better is when you read where she has been in the last few days, including a party at Downing Street. UK could be governed by a parliament in isolation for 2 weeks.

As you know, I was quite upbeat about this virus when it first appeared in China. My mind was changed some time ago. This was one time that I didn't want proving wrong. But I was wrong big time. Excerpts from Worldometers:
ITALY SHUTS DOWN
Italy closes all commercial activities, offices, cafes, shops
Only transportation, pharmacies, groceries will remain open
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases:
"Things will get worse." How much worse it will get depends on 2 things, he said:
1. containing the influx of infected people coming from other countries
2. containing local outbreaks within the U.S.
When pressed by lawmakers for an estimate of eventual fatalities in the U.S., Fauci said it will be “totally dependent upon how we respond to it.”
“I can’t give you a number,” he said. “I can’t give you a realistic number until we put into the factor of how we respond. If we’re complacent and don’t do really aggressive containment and mitigation, the number could go way up and be involved in many, many millions.”

- tightens control of the border with Croatia
- requires quarantine for Hungarian citizens returning from Italy, China, South Korea and Iran
9 new cases in Poland, including 3 persons in Cieszyn, 1 of which had potential contacts with schoolchildren (for which a decision was made to close all schools in town), a young man from the province Masovian (Warsaw), and a young woman from Łańcut All schools, as well as museums and cinemas, will close starting on Monday to curtail the spread of the coronavirus, Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said
6 new cases in Thailand
Thailand now has 59 cases, 1 death, 34 recovered, 24 active cases and 1 critical.
And the bad news continues..........

I've been watching Sky News - amongst other things, the Donald has cancelled all air travel between USA and Europe (excluding UK) for 1 month.

And being Trump, he puts the blame on others. The cases in the US are a direct result of the EU not taking the steps he took at the outset. Because of the EU's failure, the US has clusters that came from Europe.
No surprises there.

Too late anyway. The virus is in North America now and the US doesn't have enough test kits to really know how many people have it. Wonder if Canada, with its "socialised" health system will fare better. It better close its border, maybe.

Canadian leader Justin Trudeau's wife has tested positive for coronavirus.
Sophie Gregoire Trudeau was “feeling well” but would remain in isolation, a statement from Mr Trudeau’s office said.
The Prime Minister will not be tested for Covid-19 despite his wife’s diagnosis because he has shown no symptoms, it added. But they will both remain in isolation for a planned period of 14 days.

What's the known situation in Thailand? Bangkok? Hua Hin? For the last three years I've had Thai teachers and headmasters visiting our school and last summer I was in Bangkok to teach Thai teachers. They just visited us two weeks ago and have now returned to Thailand. Today the leader of the delegation told me that she can't go to her university for 14 days.

Finland is not on the Thai restricted list as far as I know. Did she visit anywhere else in Europe?

No, only Finland. I guess, it's not about the visit to Finland but more about the situation in Thailand. Although, the numbers in Finland are rising very fast now.
