The storm Saturday afternoon was different. In the year I've lived here, I never experienced wind and the torrential rains from the south. I have three jalousie windows in the bedroom facing south and have kept the windows open 24/7/365 and *never* had rain come in. It did today!

Hi. We are planning a trip to HH 22nd-26th June and are really concerned about the temperature at that time. Coming from new delhi where we hit 45 during this time, we dont want to be sweating it out again at the 40s temp range because that would not be a holiday for us - it would be like back home.

i know it rains around the period we want to be there but a real holiday would be if we can be around 30-32 kind of temp, but then again we love the food in thailand :)

any suggestions / advice

Amit, 33-34 is the forecast. Afternoons are still hot. Rains daily help. I left Hua Hin for Delhi last week. There I was taking walks and staying outside, would even eat outside. Since I have been in Delhi, i can hardly go outside. It is better there, but it is still summer. In the shade, next to the pool, sipping on cool ones, you will be fine. Have a great trip!

You'll get some sun but you might want to check out the seasons before you book next time.

I love rainy season to be honest but I'm not a massive fan of the beach etc.

Don't worry hosburger, we're getting plenty of sun. We must be averaging less than 1 hours rain per day, usually mid-afternoon. The electrical storms out at sea have been quite spectacular to watch.

You need to get out richard :D I only live about 800 yards from you, and we're virtually bone dry up here - a couple of light showers is all we've had.

Must be localised then. Got caught in a torrential in soi 80 at noon then when back at the CC got torrential at 3pm to the point where I could not see the BK hospital and I'm virtually opposite it on Petcha
