This time last year we got completely destroyed by our first two opponents letting in 8 along the way and scoring 1. Even though we were playing good teams we were humiliated and battered. We won our third game against Wolves at home. After then we started clicking and turned on the style.

Let's hope AVB can emulate that. Let's also hope AVB is aware that there are two halves as such to the season and the team really needs to perform well in both of them. I'm really not up for looking at that 'current form' table where we were bottom or somewhere around for the majority of the second half of last year.

I said I would be worried if we didn't take 6 points from our first two home games. After remembering our start to last season I'm gonna give AVB a little more time till I start ripping into him  . If we are not hovering in or around the top four spot come christmas I'm gonna ask Santa to put him on the naughty list. So far we are unbeaten at home :D ... something that we were not upon the final whistle of the first 90 minutes of football last year.

Only time will tell.

Looking forward to tonight's game. Couldn't catch any of the bloody games last night. Forgot to put me IKTS in too which assures that I'll do better than if I'd have put them in.

Would normally be rooting for a Liverpool win and plenty of goals but for personal reasons I'm hoping for a 0-0 draw today. :D

Saying this it does look like Arsenal's defensive woes from the start of last year have been sorted. Is it old Bouldy I believe who's working the magic there. Now if only you had someone who could stick that bag of air between those wooden posts...

Don't want to see it happen myself but I'm sure your new guys will start putting them away soon.

Edit: Actually scrap that... Let's go for a Liverpool win with the Arse remaining goalless. Screw the consecutive 0-0 games record.

Cole, Fabregas, Nasri.

Since Cole went the players who left have amassed 44 trophies to your none.

Diaby having a great game for Arsenal, Sterling has been our main threat, Gerrard been poor and Suarez not at his very best.

Can't make my mind up about the game? I thought how Liverpool played suited Arsenal and Diaby bossed the game. It just all seemed very lacklustre? I can't imagine that Wenger was expecting such a comfortable 90 minutes?

Just what was Liverpools game plan today? Okay, we all know its work in progress, but if Carroll isn't there, why so many floated crosses into the box? Liverpool looked better when Shelvey came on and at least Reinas error today can't be blamed for the defeat!

Winning trophies in mercenary sides hasn't really made them better players as such :?

Cole was arguably the best left back in the world when he left us for the roubles of chelski.
Fabregas is still quality but just another player in the barca team.
Nasri isn't exactly the shining light in man c's team is he?

As for the trophies, had Wenger had the same amount of money afforded to the teams mentioned, no doubt we would be laden with trophies too (& mercenary players  )

Good game today & great result for us

He must be loving the new headlines:

Liverpool's owners say they will not damage the club's future with "risky spending" but have pledged their commitment to the club.

The man will turn Saturday's result and the current owners comments into something wonderful with his bionic rose-tinted glasses working overtime on his return, won't you BaaBaa :banghead:
