I'm watching Spurs-Newcastle (3-1 after 56 mins so fingers crossed).
I want to make it clear to Fate that I'm making no assumptions...
This is the thing as a Tottenham fan. Even at 4-1 I was still worried Newcastle could come back into the game. At 5-1 I let myself relax just a little bit.

And a comment on Harry Kanes performance by Garth Crooks
“Harry Kane: It's not often you will find the England captain in my team of the week having not scored a single goal in a 5-1 romp. However, the game against Newcastle United has to be the exception. Kane's second-half performance was nothing short of sensational. The Tottenham striker's passing was so precise he could have threaded any one of them through the eye of a needle and it would have still found one of his team-mates. A wonderful individual performance by Kane. I just hope he hasn't developed a desire for making goals instead of scoring them.”

Best passer of the ball in world football. De Bruyne is the only player I can think of that even comes close to Harry.

This is all positive news. The player that everybody but me has seen for many years is going to peak just in time to help his country bring it home. Go Captain Harry
I fear Southgate won't get the best out of Harry. Don't rate him as a manager at all. One half decent win against a poor Germany side is his only good result. All the other games were games England were expected to win against weaker opposition. The minute any slightly stronger team comes along (Croatia/Italy) we get bent over a barrel tactically.
We won't get past France in the quarter finals (if expected results should happen) with Southgate in charge I'm afraid.

Everton managed to drag themselves further into the relegation battle, now sitting just one point above Burnley who managed to inflict a 3-2 defeat on Everton last night - Frank Lampard is definitely not having an easy ride as their new manager and is going to have to find something special if he is to manage to get Everton to avoid relegation!!

Indeed. And their remaining fixtures aren't the best either.
But as long as their star striker appears on a new magazine cover each week, sometimes dressed as a schoolgirl, I'm sure the Everton fans will forgive their piss-poor performances on the pitch.
When he took over at Everton, they were 5 points clear of relegation with 2 games in hand. Now a point clear with no games in hand. Not going great for him.
Not all his fault though. Everton must surely be the most mismanaged club in England. Spent something like half a billion pounds and have the 7th highest wage bill in the premier (higher than Tottenham's)... for that squad.
The January fix? Bring in 2 players massively lacking confidence (and/or any football skills) in the form of Dele Alli and Van De Beek.
Edit: Correction: Everton's wage bill is not higher than Tottenhams. Tottenham are 6th on the list. My mistake, thought they were higher.

Lampard hasn't exactly set the world on fire as a football manager, has he? (List follows for Tapatalk users):
Chelsea - took them to Wembley, but lost.
And a top 4 finish whilst under a transfer embargo, thus the introduction of many acadamy players, some since transferred to Milan, Palace, Southampton & Brighton, two of whom have since played for England, plus 2 loanees playing in the premier division, one of whom is now playing with England. The other chose to represent Albania!
