As if enough people weren't about to top themselves and innocent others over a cottage pie, I'll throw another spanner in.
Beans - dump those horrible carrots out and replace them with Baked Beans, preferably in a layer below the potato so the juice runs through the meat.

Ready, Aim, FIRE !

No problem with baked beans, any recipe can be improved upon, one pot cooking rules!

Why dump the carrots? Carrots and beans - even better.

I've never had one but these layered cottage pies would do the trick:

Savoury trifle?

Agree on the beans, some weirdos don't have them on a fry up.

Surely you're not being serious? No beans with a fry up? What on earth is the world coming to?

Seriously though, I wouldn't even consider ordering a fry up if beans weren't included. :thumb:

Well, that's Pleng out of the closet. Brave man!

Now waiting for someone to state in no uncertain terms that tinned tomatoes are crucial to a good fry-up...

I'm afraid I have either beans OR (fried) tomatoes - not bold enough to go for both at the same...

I'm also waiting for someone to complain that we're off topic!
