I've been told that information is not being made public to comply with defamation laws. If you know, I would suggest you keep it to yourselves.

This report (16 March) seems to imply that the Chinese football team are in Dubai and flying back to China from there. They were due to play in Buriram next week but that's off now.

I think that is a different team. The team den123 is referring to is Meizhou Hakka Football Club who were due to play at True Arena last Tuesday.

Thailand confirms 50 more cases of Covid-19

Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health confirmed on Friday 50 more coronavirus cases bringing the total number of cases in the country to 322.

Of that number 41 cases were related to previous outbreak sites including a boxing stadium and entertainment venues in Bangkok. Only 9 were new cases, unrelated to previous outbreaks.

According to the ministry, 66 per cent of those infected were male and the age group with the largest number of cases were those between 30-39 years old.

The ministry said that 80 per cent of confirmed covid-19 cases were located in Bangkok.

Prayut orders provinces to respond

Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha told reporters on Thursday that provincial governors must manage the quarantine situation within their constituencies or face the consequences.

Prayut has so far refused to shut down the country and close borders, citing the fact that Thailand had not passed into stage-3 of the infection.

Stage-3 is defined as mass person-to-person transmission in multiple regions of the country.

Prayut said that those governors not enforcing social distancing and quarantine in their provinces will be transferred to inactive posts.

I was just about to mention 'The Thai Enquirer'. I'd never heard of it but was led to it as worldometers use it as a source.
I'd say it is very informative with a mixture of fact and opinion on a range of subjects. Seems very up to date as is shown by Sateeb's post. It states that it's a new 'independent' media.

I shall certainly look in on it on a daily basis.

This is one thing (there are many) that is confusing me. Covid-19 is a national problem that requires a single solution. Why has the government delegated responsibility down to provincial level? This has resulted in 76 different solutions to a single problem.

Not sure how long The Thai Enquirer will survive. Would be a pity but as Prayut has shown on a number of occasions he will stamp down hard on dissension and opinion

US students party on spring break despite coronavirus
Crowds of US university students flocked to Florida for their spring break, defying recommendations from the federal government and Center for Disease Control (CDC) over the coronavirus outbreak.

National health officials are advising against gatherings of 10 or more people.

Miami bars and restaurants are closing early, and some beaches have been shut to the public to avoid infection.

BBC News

On the video some little snot nosed millennial wankmuppet was saying that he wasn't worried about getting infected he just wanted to parteeeee.

Same kind of attitude with a number of millenials on the facebook page of my hometown for St Patricks day.

The thing that rankles with me is that these little self important shits may well survive a bout of the virus and care not a jot about the other vulnerable people they may infect. :cuss: :banghead:

As Dave Allen used to sign off, "May your God be with you!"

Rant over
