Tricky one, though - perhaps a Man U fan could tell us who they'd prefer as champions - L'pool or City?

(The answer 'neither' is unacceptable... )
Asking a United fan who they would prefer as champions in Liverpool,City or even Chelsea is akin to asking "who was the nicer person.....Heinrich Himmler,Adolf Hitler,or Josef Stalin ?" :tsk:
For me,the answer is Liverpool but only as they are less evil and play attractive attacking football ! :rasta:

As a Manchester born Man U fan I would prefer City to win.

I'm guessing Zidane is a Southern born man U fan and doesn't understand the intense loathing of all things Scouse!!!! ( Definitely prosed with tongue firmly in cheek mate)

Yeah,Macclesfield is in the south of England, about 20 miles south of Manchester ! :rasta:
Liverpool were undoubtedly the most hated but things started to change a bit about four years ago with Citeh starting to splash the cash. Liverpool havent been too much of a threat the last 20 or so years but, historically, still hated.
Nowadays I think 60% of the fans would say Liverpool and 40% City as the most loathed.

Correct me if wrong but I think Chelsea and Manchester United are in the under 21 final? Fulham lost to Chelsea and Liverpool lost to MU in the semi's. Pete

Are Zidane and Baa Baa one and the same person? Both from Macclesfield and one absent for a long time.

Me and Baa Baa the same ? More chance of Yingluck and Suthep becoming lovers ! 8)
Baa Baa is actually from Congleton, about 8 miles south of Macclesfield, and not as upmarket as Macc ! :rasta:

For your cheek in suggesting such a thing, heres a couple of things to bring you back to reality.......
1.According to the Sunday Mirror,Arsene Wenger is considering making an offer to Rio Ferdinand if he becomes a free agent.
2.According to caughtoffside.com,Arsenal are considering a bid of around 16m GBP for Maroue Fellaini  as Wenger seeks to refresh his squad.

Blimey, make it 20m and we'll throw in Nani and Cleverley,as well !

That's right, despite winning the league, we now have to play Man Utd, who finished third behind Liverpool in a final, at Old Trafford, on Wednesday 14th May.

Our youth team just won the FA Youth Cup as well, beating Fulham in the final.

Perhaps Fulham should have been playing their U21 and Youth in the big show this season.

There's talk of creating a premier 'B' team league, to be positioned between Div. 2 and the Conference, to give the younger players more experience of 1st team football. It will evolve into a mix of B teams and other lower division clubs with various rules governing promotion and entry into cup tournaments. Under various guises this already happens on the continent, including Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands and is seen as important for the development of younger players.

Makes sense to me, what do others think?

I'd like to see the above happen BUT with a strict policy on the amount of foreign players allowed to be used (3-4 maximum in the squad - only 2 to be on the field at any time). It would become a pointless exercise if all we did was improve every other country's youngsters for them.

Back to the Premiership now...

From what has been a great season of football, it aint half come to an anti-climax for the last day's matches. No relegation battle, No fourth place battle and the title's already won (City play West Ham at home... Yeah, it's already won). What was being billed as the most exciting year of football ever has just kinda fizzled out. Shame...

Agree, but I would go even further by saying the 'non foreign' contingent should only be players eligible to play for the England national team and all players in the squad must be 22 and younger.

Apparently, it's been pooh-poohed a bit this morning. It appears the principle of the B teams is accepted, but the idea hasn't got further than that at the moment. I think it's a given that they will restrict the number of foreign players and that x amount of the team will have to be under 21/2/3.

As for the premiership, it's still come down to the final day, although City only need a draw to win it. That's pretty good by anyone's standards.
