Matthias Rath (born 1955 in Stuttgart, Germany) is a controversial doctor, businessman, and vitamin salesman
If the same guy, there's loads on the net about him. None of it good. Most of it laughable and some of it downright dangerous.

Seems he was eventually stopped in his tracks in South Africa.

Would you buy a used car off this guy? Only an idiot would!

Shutdown order issued for Korat

https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/ge ... -for-korat

NAKHON RATCHASIMA: In the wake of restrictions placed on Bangkok and surrounding provinces, an order has been issued to temporarily shut down shopping malls and others venues considered high risks for the Covic-19 spread in this major northeastern province, effective from Sunday to April 12.

All shopping malls -- except supermarket zones, pharmacies or zones selling daily necessities and food outlets offering take-out and delivery -- must close on Sunday under the order issued on Saturday by governor Wichian Chantaranothai.

The closure order also affects many other venues: cinemas, Thai traditional massage parlours, Internet shops, karaoke joints, water parks, swimming pools, restaurants excepting take-out and delivery, beauty salons, barber shops, gyms and sports centres, horse-racing courses, cock-fighting rings, boxing stadiums, snooker and billiards shops and cattle markets.

As of March 21, Nakhon Ratchasima reported five coronavirus infections.

The most recent cases were two people, aged 38 and 42, from Pak Thongchai and Muang districts who contracted the virus at two separate boxing stadiums in Bangkok.

The 38-year-old had close contact with 11 people -- seven of them with a high risk and four others with a low risk of contracting the disease.

The 42-year-old had close contact with many more people -- 26 with a high risk and 96 with a low risk of contracting the virus.

Health authorities are looking for all those who had contact with the two recently-infected individuals in order to put them in quarantine.

Not sure where to post this. From someone's daughter who works in Morrison's in the UK. She wrote a poem which I thought was worth sharing:
We open at 7. They turn up in droves!
Grabbing the Pasta. Fighting for loaves!
Where is the bog roll? They ask us again!
Where is the Calpol? The delivery is when?
Even baked beans are not safe anymore!
Stockpiling vultures are pillaging the store!
They turn up in gloves armed with a trolley!
The staff we look on and try to stay jolly!

We ain't got no eggs. Chicken breast are all gone!
Long life milk in a carton. We ain't got one!
The tills they are ringing. The takings they soar!
N still chuffing shoppers they pile through our door!
You'd think it was Christmas as madness ensues!
Every till open to deal with the queues!
A minority few they have sworn at the staff!
They say it's our fault so we get the wrath!
We are soldiering on with some kind of grace!
Serving you folk with a smile on our face!

Molly and Maggie are down on aisle two!
Fighting for tea-cakes one's just lost her shoe!
By God there's a scuffle my money's on Molly!
She's just whacked owd Maggie with pie out a her trolley!
Even owd Norman the one with the donkey!
He's scuffling with Harry their glasses are wonky!
They both want a hand gel but we've only got one!
The staff intervene the fighting is done!

The world has gone mad people stockpiling food!
Forgetting their manners and being quite rude!
The deliveries keep coming there's food and there's beer!
No need to hoard no need to fear!
We are serving the community 7 till 11!
We go home to bed then do it again!
Stressful times for all is what I'm thinking!
So I raise you a glass of whatever I'm drinking!
Well all beat this virus we've gotta win through!
So take care of yourselves from our staff to you!

I wouldn't buy anything from him but I read what he had to say about nutrients and there affect on the body in relation to viruses and can't find fault with that. It's easy enough to check what he says about nutrients.

For believers and non-believers. I'm on the fence with a slight bias that SOME of natures bounty can help but not cure.

Top Ten Natural Anti-Viral Agents

COLLOIDAL SILVER

Silver has been utilized as a medicine since ancient times to treat scores of ailments, including the bubonic plague. Colloidal silver is a suspension of pure metallic silver in water, that is used to dramatically reduce the activity of the HIV virus in AIDS patients, slow down the ravages of the hepatitis C virus and combat other viruses in general. It works by interfering with the enzymes that allow a virus to utilize oxygen thus, in essence, suffocating it so it cannot do damage in the body.

ELDERBERRY

The common black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) has long been used to reduce the length and severity of flu symptoms and studies. Taking 60 ml a day for adults and 30 ml for children helps to facilitate a complete recovery, often in three days. Elderberry extract binds to the tiny spikes on a virus protein that are used to pierce and invade healthy cells and destroys them so that the virus is ineffective. Elderberry may also be effective against the herpes simplex virus and some HIV strains.

ECHINACEA

The herb Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) is supportive of the immune system and has a direct anti-viral action against colds and viral bronchitis. Preparations that include both the roots and the flowering tops are the most effective at helping the body resist the viruses.

GARLIC

Garlic has been prized for its medicinal properties for thousands of years. The compounds allicin and alliion are responsible for this common plant’s reputation as a triple threat. Garlic is anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and it is especially effective against viruses if chewed raw.

GREEN TEA

Green tea (Camellia sinensis) contains a group of flavonoids called catechins, which appear to inhibit viral infections by blocking the enzymes that allow it to reproduce. Green tea has been known to be effective in inhibiting HIV, herpes simples and the hepatitis B virus.

LIQORICE

Liquorice contains a substance called glycyrrhizin that reduces the replication of viruses and halts their ability to penetrate replicate inside healthy cells. It has been noted to be effective in the treatment of many viral illnesses including HIV strains and viral hepatitis.

OLIVE LEAF

The leaves of Olive trees (Olea europea) contain a substances called elenoic acid and calcium elonate has been identified as a powerful inhibitor of a wide range of viruses in laboratory tests., including influenza, herpes, polio and coxsackie viruses. These substances block the production of enzymes that allow viruses to replicate.

PAU D’ARCO

Pau d’arco (Tabebuia impetiginosa), also known as lapacho or ipe roxo, is an Amazon tree with healing inner bark that can treat colds, influenza, herpes and viral stomatis. It contains quinoids that inhibit virus replication by damaging the DNA and RNA inside the viral protein that would insert itself in a healthy human cell and replicate.

ST JOHN’S WORT

St John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is ore well-known for its ability to treat depression and neuralgia but it also has potent antiviral chemicals called hypercin and pseudohypericin that proactively fight off viruses that thrive by imitating existing cells through “cloaking”. These viruses that masquerade as human cells include Herpes, HIV and Hepatitis C.

For the most effective results it is highly recommended that at least two or three of these remedies in conjunction in order to vanquish viruses. As always, consult your naturopathic doctor for advise that is tailored specifically to your body.

Bleak outlook for the US and New York in particular.

The coronavirus outbreak in New York will get worse, with damage accelerated by shortages of key medical supplies, the city's mayor has said.

"We're about 10 days away from seeing widespread shortages," Bill de Blasio said on Sunday. "If we don't get more ventilators people will die."

New York state has become the epicentre of the outbreak in the US and accounts for almost half of the country's cases.

There are now 31,057 confirmed cases nationwide, with 390 deaths.

On Sunday, the state's Governor Andrew Cuomo said 15,168 people had tested positive for the virus., an increase of more than 4,000 from the previous day.

"All Americans deserve the blunt truth," Mr de Blasio told NBC News. "It's only getting worse, and in fact April and May are going to be a lot worse."

New York now accounts for roughly 5% of Covid-19 cases worldwide.

Coronavirus: Harvey Weinstein tests positive

Former Hollywood producer and convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for coronavirus while in prison.

He is now in isolation, according to Michael Powers, president of the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association.

Weinstein was found guilty of rape and sexual assault last month and sentenced to 23 years in prison.

His lawyers have vowed to appeal against his conviction.

Weinstein is being held at Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo in upstate New York. Two prisoners at the facility tested positive for the virus on Sunday, an officer who did not wish to give his name told Reuters news agency.

Mr Powers told Reuters that several members of staff had been quarantined. He expressed concern for corrections officers who he claims lack proper protective equipment.

Thailand reports 122 new coronavirus cases Monday, total at 721
Thailand has 122 new coronavirus cases, raising the total to 721, a health ministry spokesman said on Monday at a news conference.

The new cases include 20 patients linked to previous cases, 10 new imported cases, and 92 cases that tested positive and are awaiting investigation into how they contracted the disease, Taweesin Wisanuyothin, a Public Health Ministry spokesman said.

Thailand has recorded one death since the outbreak while 52 patients have recovered and gone home while 668 are still being treated in hospitals.

The rapid increase in confirmed cases does not necessarily indicate the actual transmission rate of the Covid-19 disease among the general population, but might instead reflect increased testing of at-risk people.
