I think Chelsea at the end of last season and over the first few games of this one have used up a very large dollop of good fortune. On an almost Traffordian scale. I think they'll do well to carry on as they've started.
Having said that, I'm not yet confident enough to state categorically that Spurs will be a shoo-in for the top 4, but I think we'll be thereabouts. Hopefully. Maybe.
Man U - 'cos Fergie wants the title back
Man C - 'cos the're beatable
Chelsea - don't really know why.....................
and in fourth, any one from Spurs, The Arse and yes EVERTON
The blue scousers are playing some sweet stuff and could continue to do so.
Spurs have Kaboul, Adebayor and Parker in the wings with Vertonghen, Dempsey and Siggi settling well. Not forgetting upcoming youngsters like Caulker. Lump that lot with Bale, Defoe and 10,000 goalkeepers, we've got potentially one of the best squads for ages - it's the manager I'm worried about
Is there life at Arse without v. Persie - it's beginning to look like it
All of this could of course be can be scuppered by the January transfer window and injuries.
Having watched a lot of Arsenal games on tv in the last few years I am amazed at how much snot RVP produces and evacuates through the one-nostril blow. He should carry a hanky up his sleeve.

As the Independent (I think) pointed out, even China doesn't have such a high conviction rate as the FA! A process which is regularly criticised by MP's committees and even lawyers.
Be interesting to read the full judgement. I suspect it will be that he used the word black prefaced by you know what and nothing else? Under FA rules he could have whispered that to himself by the corner flag with no-one within 50 yards of him and he would be guilty. Fair enough I guess?
I wonder if he'll accept it or appeal? He's free to face Arsenal on Saturday either way.
I have to agree there BG, maybe it`s just the glory-hunting "fans" making all the negative noises. How many clubs would like to be in the position of Arsenal, in profit, and in the Champions League, again?
