Manny,

Citeh = the blue part of Manc town, they don't talk proper up there you know!

West Brom aka the baggies, the tesco bag thing was something I read elsewhere and made me laugh.

I think Martinez at Wigan must be under real pressure now.Losing 4-0 at home to relegation favourites Blackpool is as bad as it gets....and dont forget last season they had a few hammerings 9-0,8-0,5-0 (at home)....possibly some others I cant remember ?

City's defence was all at sea in the first half....but for Joe Hart they could have been three down.
They were better in the second half but the game faded a bit as a spectacle imo.
Anyone else think Spurs lack a real quality striker ? Defoe,Crouch,Pavulychenko and Keane are OK but I cant see them winning trophies with those four.....they need a Drogba,Rooney,Torres,Tevez or a Van Persie standard striker to make that step up.

West Broms first four away games are Chelsea,Arsenal,Liverpool and United

And to think I replaced Didier Drogba in my Fantasy team (he was also captain) because I thought he wouldnt play yesterday

Liverpool v Arsenal....10pm Thai time tonight.....should be good.

Liverpool v Arsenal. A fair result I think, although Liverpool played to the best of their ability whilst Arsenal will still improve greatly as many of their players were below par. ps Do you think they would like to swap keepers?

That's right mate, Liverpool played to 100% of their maximum ability, couldn't possibly play any better, should just feel blessed to have shared a pitch with the mighty Arsenal.

Pretty comfortable for Man Utd last night....3-0
Scholes,Man of the Match and Berbatov was excellent as well.
Rooney still struggling a bit though I believe he picked up a hamstring injury playing for England last week.

Anyone see anything in the Press yet about coach axing? Maybe a bit too early but Wigan's performance is bound to bring cries for his removal. I think he just came up from a lower league last year and at the time bells and whistles about how good he was. I guess not. Or....the team has huge restrictions concerning player purchases. Wigan play Chelsea at home this weekend.....surely the last fixture they would want !
Be interesting to see what the teams reaction will be after their hammering by Blackpool.....if they lose 6-0 then it will be very difficult for Martinez to remain.

Note for Pete: Wigan are one of the smaller clubs in the Premiership who have made their way up from the lower divisions of the football league. They are owned by Dave Whelan,of JJB Sports fame, but there is very little money to spend on new players.
This is their sixth, and possibly last, season in the Premiership.....the phrase "punching above their weight" applies to their time in the top tier.
Martinez is a promising young boss, only about 37,and did an excellent job with Swansea. But Wigan is a completely different kettle of fish.....with the resources currently available to the manager,I doubt if Jose Mourinho could manufacture a top half finish !

Arsenal used to be known as "one nil to the Arsenal"= boring.

Has Liverpool taken on the mantle of " boring".

One nil to Liverpool.

The new Liverpool manager is a negative thinker, park the coach in the goal and keep them out.

Think l can see why Chelsae let the wayward Cole go.

From a BBC report.

"It wasn't unfortunate," he said. "It was a poor penalty. I haven't taken one for about 15 years and I might wait another 15 before I take the next one.

"You move on but the main thing is that the team won. I hold my hands up for that, it wasn't good enough."

Cole has had an eventful start to his Liverpool career after being red-carded in their Premier League opener against Arsenal on Sunday.

Manny, they've been known as 'Boring, boring' to me for many years. I'll take some convincing that they've moved on.
