Why is nothing ever straight forward in football(especially with teams I choose to support seemingly!) :banghead:

Our coach Aspisit Khaikaew has agreed to take up the manager's position at Thai Premier league club TOT S.C!!!

Just when things seemed to be falling into place with the team......

Vert disappointing. I just hope others don't follow as he has brought in many professional coaches in his short time here.

As for tomorrow, the bus(es) are leaving at 10.00am from the temple in anticipation of heavy traffic into Bangkok.

Very disappointing indeed. I hope we don't go back to kick and rush again  The season is 14 matches old and how many coaches/managers have we had already? :banghead:

Contracts don't seem to mean much here.

Here's hoping there's a half decent coach looking for a job, and fancies a few weeks at the seaside.

The outgoing coach of TOT previously won the TPL with Bangkok University a few years back.....

Wow! Noticed that TOT are playing tonight 8pm start, I tuned into to see if Khaikaew was in charge of the team tonight...... He is...

Team done the huddle before the start of the game with Khaikaew, Magnus, a couple of other familiar faces and Bik Dam doing his usual screaming motivational speech!

GD you said you were worried about him taking people with him, I'm starting to wonder if there's anyone left at Hua Hin at all!

Why the hell are Magnus + Bik Dam there?!

Just 6 weeks ago Geordie Dancer wrote:Unbelievable! If there is nothing to complain about lets make it up. It makes me wonder how much some people know or understand about football to make the comments they have made in the last 24 hours. The comments are totally without factual backing or foundation and some just show how little people know about Hua Hin Football Club. It is about time people forgot about what has been said or done in the past rather than continuing to use it to put the knife in. All football clubs generate stories, some of which come to fruition, some don't, that's the nature of football. Don't keep harping back to things that haven't happened, look at all the good things that have.

Sorry GD, a bit harsh, but SS is painting a grim picture at the moment. Let's hope they're just guests of our outgoing manager before tomorrow's match in Bangkok.

I now also see that the decision to get rid of the TOT manager and his coaching staff was the decision/order of the new sponsors of the club that arrived on Thursday.

By yesterday Khaikaew and his coaching staff were in place.

Seeing Magnus + Bik Dam there sitting next to Khaikaew on the bench at tonight's TOT game, I think I can guess who the new sponsors are....

I use the word sponsor but as I'm translating from Thai it MAY be more than a sponsor i.e part owner or whatever.

Either way, I'm getting the impression this is more than just our coach's head being turned by a premier league club. :?

He has now said he intends to take a break from football and won't consider a job until next year......

Mind you, we probably can't afford him now anyway!

I hope you're wrong SS, otherwise the scenario where I didn't understand football is going to happen to a club I support for the 2nd time. These players haven't just joined Hua Hin to get a sun tan - they'll be commanding big wages I imagine.

 Maybe Hua Hin will be TOT's feeder club :?

Hopefully I am wrong, I'm sure things will become clearer in the next few days.

At the moment the signs are not looking good!

Just checked to see if there was any response from the club yet and they've stated Khaikaew will take charge of the team tomorrow!

Up earlly for the trip to the match in Bangkok. Still don't want to speculate about whats going on at Hua Hin. Hopefully will get more info today and can then give an opinion based on facts. Obviously more than meets the eye if the coach is still in charge today.

Fingers Crossed - probably the last 10 days or so has seen me very contented with this season's team (if you hadn't noticed  ) for the first time.

I hope it is no more than speculation, but we mustn't forget, most top Thai teams usually have a feeder team. Of course, that would mean we'd ever get any higher than Div 1.

If it does turn out to be more than speculation, lets hope the team is funded to the end of the season - we did pretty well without the additional funding last season. All we need now is another top coach - maybe one of his many underlings is up to the job.
