These restrictions are not going to end in 14 days. I don't think the daily numbers are anywhere near peaking, and until that happens and they begin to fall no restrictions are going to be lowered. On the contrary, if I were a betting man I would say there will be increased regulations concerning many types of closures and curfews.

I begin to worry (again) about schools once the Songkran break is over. I think back to on-line learning will be a distinct possibility for the remainder of the school year ending late June.

No. "Wet" massage. อาบ-อบ-นวด

I noticed that one of the current crop of Maya "victims" in Hua Hin is a teacher at Somtawil school.

I see the guy from Bkk that went to Maya pub and seems to be the super spreader, worked at the Crystal pub in Thonglor. I have a video from that pub which shows tables of mixed Thais slowly getting drunk, no masks, no distancing, whilst a group of topless painted ladies slowly fill the stage. But I don't know how to get from Line to here?

But what this is about is different sets of rules for different groups. Those in the pub aren't on the whole going to be your average Thai and the word Hi-So would fit in there somewhere. Anywhere else investigative journalists, yet alone the Police, would get their teeth into this, identify the owners, the ID's of who was there, why no covid rules were followed and so on. But this is Thailand and nothing will happen.

Even the police are falling like flies. 42, I think. Half of the remaining police in that particular district are in quarantine and the other half have been told to work from home!!

Hmmmm...... it went from my end OK.

That aside, I think there may be a court case looming, so probably best not to post anything. :D

I've been for my usual walk around the lake this morning. I was Billy No Mates this morning as I decided it was even too hot to take the dog. As usual, I saw 3 other people around the lake, and it was easy to keep my 'social' distance.

So why am I writing this on the Hua Hin Covid page?

I think Thailand has cried wolf too many times with minor outbreaks. From what I saw today going to and from the lake, and whilst at the lake, many people in Hua Hin are convinced Covid isn't a problem, and the 3rd wave will just fade away like the 1st and 2nd ripples. Yes, I saw a few extra motorcyclists wearing masks, but that was it.

I hope I'm wrong, but this 3rd wave has a very different feel to me.

You could be right. Cases up to 789 yesterday. I'll post the story once published on the other thread.

 I get scared with a dentist appointment coming up...yes the best down in Petchakasem (well IMO the best)
Hope they have taken their precautions......
Btw, have to agree with Big Boy, this wave need more capacity than facemasks and hearing already now that even the test capacity are overwhelmed is not excactly giving confidence.
