This is the same message everyone who missed out on this week's "mad vaccination" in HH gets.

When I use that link, I get the response I have already posted twice:

So maybe another embarrassing translation error.

Incidentally, my wife missed out on this week's "mad vaccination" in HH. Her message is much more positive, it confirms she is registered and tells her how many before her in the queue.

"Mad" should've been "mass" of course.

Yes both my wife's and my id number show the queue position, but who knows when the queue will move again?

That is my problem. I am really worried that just a sniff of Covid would finish my wife. I am desperate for her not to miss her vaccination. I check the relevant pages several times each day. All that I ever find is another link or another app. I find it very frustrating (is it showing ?) that we each have to do this ourselves. I actually don't care too much about myself. After all of the early doom and gloom regarding Farang vaccinations, I was resigned to the fact my vaccination would be a long time coming.

My wife is lucky in that she has a family network checking on her behalf. I worry about the elderly who not have that family network, neither do they have the IT knowledge nor the hardware to check their own vaccination progress. I honestly feel there is something seriously wrong with saying here's a Facebook page, your time will come, but you have to work out how to find it. Oh, and to keep you on your toes, we'll move the goalposts every 3 days, just to make it interesting.

^^ BB, I don't know how old your wife is but I suspect younger than mine. The hospital phoned my wife in May with an appointment for her on Monday 7th June, but in my wisdom I suggested that the first day would be very chaotic and that she should wait a day or two. So she opted for Wednesday. The hospital phoned her again to inform her Wednesday was off. Of course she wasn't happy with me, but that's life.

My point is that I think the hospital is perhaps phoning the more elderly because they understand that those over 6x years of age maybe can't handle the interwebby stuff. And they're right when it comes to my wife. Possibly your wife is, if I may say so, young enough to be considered computer savvy.

Sorry but that’s nonsense - my wife is in her 50’s but isn’t at all computer savvy and doesn’t use Facebook and whilst we know many do, there’s a lot that don’t!! I agree with BB on this one, they should keep things a lot simpler and resort to good old fashioned systems that work - as you’ve said your wife was contacted by phone, a quick and reliable method.

I've put my registration number into the above link and get confirmation that I'm registered and to check the hospital's website regularly for when my appointment is.

People mention a FB page but I'm not sure which one and haven't found anything that gives appointment info on the web site.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of where I should be checking for appointment confirmation?

My wife is 67, but we have 2 Thai neighbours one in their 70's and one in their 80's. They don't get phone calls either.

An example is the actual listing link http://www.pcko.moph.go.th/check.html?f ... SL1mbTZ5zw# . This was supposed to be the go-to place to check your name. It worked for 2 days, and then died. We know there was a 3rd day because, I think, hhinner posted some output pages from day 3. This link has not been updated, and I've no idea where people can access day 3 onwards.

The other problem is they are reportedly listing Expat names in Thai, so do you know the Thai for lomuamart?

The extra pages for day 3 were not found on that link. They were from

This is the page most likely to have any HHH vaccination information.

At the moment the only new stuff is for Sinovac jabs. When HHH gets any news about more AZ it will likely be posted there.

It makes no sense, whatsoever. Even more so if they insist on posting Farang names in Thai. I don't recognise my name in Thai. Posted as a list that can be searched helps a lot, and I could probably find my name. Posting as out of focus photos is really taking the P. Nothing about this vaccine stuff is joined up IMHO.

What amazes me is how Astra Zeneca is so quiet while its reputation takes another beating here in Asia after its problems in Europe. There are other countries relying on the Thai AZ production and it seems that those countries are in the dark as much as the Thai population.

Low immunity levels in some, despite 2 doses of AstraZeneca, Sinovac

A leading medical expert in Thailand has expressed concern that some people who’ve received both doses of either the AstraZeneca or Sinovac vaccine are showing low levels of immunity to Covid-19. According to a Nation Thailand report, Thiravat Hemachudha from the Health Science Centre of Emerging Diseases at Chulalongkorn University says that, 3 or 4 weeks after inoculation, some people show no immunity or low levels of 20 – 30%.

The report goes on to say that in order for a vaccine to be considered effective, the ability to stop a virus must be higher than 20% if immunity is to develop. It’s understood that vaccinated people will normally show an immune response that varies from low, to medium, to high, but that response must continue to increase following inoculation.

Thiravat cites the rabies vaccine as an example. Full inoculation requires injections on day zero, day 3, and day 7. Some patients will start to develop immunity around day 10 and everyone who’s vaccinated will show immunity by day 14.

Low levels of immunity, at less than 20%, are being seen in some people who were vaccinated on the same day and with the same vaccine, leading Thiravat to speculate that there may have been an issue with a particular batch. He adds that some of those showing very low levels of immunity have underlying health conditions, including diabetes, which will have an impact on their immune system.

According to the Nation Thailand report, a number of Covid-19 patients have become infected despite having 2 doses of Sinovac or 1 dose of AstraZeneca. Thiravat says that in vaccinated individuals where immunity does not increase, or where it increases to less than 68%, a third dose could be beneficial.
