Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand
Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand
Since we get a fair few weather related questions I thought I'd post this and make it a sticky for you to add your weather resources and links to. Hopefully we'll be able to the the big picture by using this thread!
I'll start with this one (which only works in IE):
http://www.tmd.go.th/en/
And this just for Prachuab:

Here is the satellite picture (takes a while to load):

If anyone has tide tables for the area please add them also.

Great stuff folks - all added to the 'favourite' sites.
We were due to take the boat out on Kaeng Krachan Dam this morning, leaving here at around 04.45 - 0500.
Awoke at about 03.30 to a good dose of crash bang wallop and the rain (Which has hardly stopped ever since).
Needless to say - cancelled the trip.
However - this sort of weather is typical of this time of year and it's much the same for the next few weeks.
Roll on December and the 'non wet' weather
Hasn't stopped a few stalwarts fishing my place today tho

My wife has spoken to the family up in Surin, and they have a considerable amount of land, around about 600 to 700 rai combined, this has been a very wet year the rice is not going brown it's so wet, they think this year a very poor crop, this will push the price up even more.
Two years ago, selling to the rice mill, 6 baht a kilo, last year 13 baht a kilo and near the end of the year 17 baht a kilo.
The weather to us we dony really think about things like rice, very important to a thai as there staple diet.
Kendo.

Bit of a storm arriving Tuesday Night, strong winds and high seas.
Batten down the hatches, it could last until Friday or Saturday.
There is a chance it could just give Hua Hin a sideways swipe and head south, but be warned.

I just entered a post on "Bangsaphanguide" about this storm, as they are likely going to get a direct hit.
