Just got a letter from my lawyer that the year end accounts are due. we normally pay 15,000 a year for this but he now says due to the economic crisis it is now 25,000. Anyone else had such a big increase as this or am I being ripped off ?..

Big rip off in my opinion if the work load has not increased from the previous year. Go somewhere else.

Sounds like the lawyer is tackling his own economic crisis quite nicely!

Ours is around 10-12k and we pay it monthly to save the lump sum so it sounds like he's trying to take you for a ride.

He's taking the piss. Just paid mine yesterday. The same that it has been for three years. Take your business elsewhere.

I have a similar situation and wish to change the lawyers/accountants
Has anyone gone through that process of changing firms
If so what should you look out for
Thanks
