2008 has not been one of my best years. Due to personal financial miscalculations it has been a very boring year of sitting home and way too much time on the internet and watching TV.How was your 2008 had gone so far what where your Highs and lows. and what do you looking for in 2009?! Any Hopes and expectations?
Having said that, I live in a beach resort town and have plenty to eat and drink, a (damned nice) roof over my head without having to work for a living and a beautiful wife who loves me.
Considering all that and considering that there are millions of people around the world who would gladly swap their miserable existence for my boring life, I can't complain.
I wish for you, Understudy, and all of you who may read this a very Merry Christmas, and a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2009!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all
HHfarang. You hit the nail on the head
When I first came here I was living and enjoying every minute of it. This last year I reckon I've been existing and being over cautious about things due to the exchange rate situ and a feeling of general unrest
If I step back though, and take a long look, a move back to the UK would plunge into survival. So I'm happy with my lot and know many of my overseas friends envy me

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.
