Not sure, but when you pay to get in you get drinks vouchers for the same amount, so it doesn't exactly 'cost' you anything if you know what I mean. So maybe hotel guests can get in without admission fee but doubt they get the free drinks vouchers!?!?
Think they do it to stop people coming in and sipping a water all night long as their prices are high.
No matter what people think of it and its music (which I find cr@p) it is a nightclub in a 5 star hotel in the centre of town.
They only used to charge at weekends, but haven't been in there for donkeys.

Met Bar in London used to charge around 60 quid each to get in (if doormen fancied it), two of you could get a room in their hotel above and get free entry for same cost!!

I would think you have to pay regrdless of where you stay. The disco underneath The Hilton is not actually run by The Hilton, it is run by The Hua Hin Brewing Company.

I would be more conserned with finding out where the fire exit is, as it can get jam packed in there at week ends just thinking on the side of caution.

Hilton Disco

Post by DaveT »

Guys,

When I'm in Hua Hin I often stay at the Hilton. I've only been in the disco 3 times as I hated it, but it was free for residents.

But that's it - you have to pay for drinks the same as all customers and there's no vouchers. There's a separate entrance from the hotel side, hence you don't have to go through the main door where I guess you have to pay.

The only potential plus side is that you can run a tab on your room number. But that's a bad move as if anyone overhears or sees you tab there's suddenly a bunch of extra drinks that are nothing to do with you!!

The 3 times I went in there it was full of drunk farangs, transvestites, bar girls who hadn't got a punter and lady boys. If that's your bag, good luck. In my 3 visits I reckon I stayed in there 10 minutes in total.

10 minutes and you got hit for a bunch of drinks :? They must be watching that hotel entrance and tracking you to the bar - then listening carefully. Either that or the bar staff are less than honest.

Neither privilege of staying at the Hilton sounds like much of a privilege.

Most popular nightspot in Hua Hin though ??

I used to go a bit but can't really stand the place now.

Think many tourists like/use it, plus the girls that haven't yet got a punter.

No way is it the most popular venue for those that live here and those that visit here regularly

Tourist joint with highly inflated prices, crap music and third rate girls/katoeys who can't make a hit in a bar or on the street

I think it is really Richard certainly where farangs are concerend, you get more farangs in there every night than the other venues. Many farangs in there are tourists ofcourse, so take your point about local farangs.

Agree with you though that it is pretty cack.
