Any younger expats living in Hua Hin - 30 years +

Post by NewgirlinHH2009 »

Hi there,

I am moving to Hua Hin with my boyfriend at the end of May 2009 and wondered if there are any younger expat residents living in the area more our age range (I am 36 and my boyfriend is 43).

My mother already lives out here and has a very full social life with many friends out here already, but I have noticed that most people are more of retirement age.

I would be very keen to hear of any younger residents and would love to hook up or hear about any social events aimed more around our age range.

We are due to come out and live here at the end of May 2009 - so would love to hear from anyone with any tips

Thanks for your time and I hope this is on the right page?

I'm only a part time resident, but you've got nothing to worry about as there are actually quite a good number of people around Hua Hin of your age group.

Well I am 31 and my good lady(TW) is 34 so right around where you guys are.
We have been in HH for around 7 months and love it, I work offshore (4x4) so will be away when you get over, should be back in HH around the 14th June or there abouts.
There are a lot of older people but they tend to be packed with knowledge and good intentions.
As for social life people here are really friendly Thai/farrang alike, we tend to enjoy the Thai scene around HH, a lot of fun.... :thumb:

We live in the U.k but myself and my Thai wife are 38, and we love a good beer and a laugh and dancing, we will be in town end of October, my wife lived in HH in the Sport Villa, for three years sold up and then came to the U.k and has been here allmost four years.

We still know a few people around town.

Hi Newgirl,
You will find quite a few of us HH 'part-timers' in your age-group.

See you later this year!

Hi, we will be in town for a week on the 28 October and again later in November, we are staying at Jings guest house ask for Kenny and Palini, my wife is fluent english speaking and she has a very fun loving nature.

When in town we normally end up in the Hilton disco giving it large on the dance floor to some cheesy cover version.

I will leave our Thai sim number with Peter and at reception.

Younger folks get together this coming weekend?

Post by Dawebo »

Hi folks,

Following on the subject of this tread, how about a get together for those posted on this tread or any other younger folks this coming weekend (14th Nov)?

I've never been around for any of the other forum get togethers but I'm guessing it has been the more elder members of the forum meeting up.

I'm in my mid thirties and married to a bangkok lady. We're living in HH on and off (more on than off) for the last year. Unfortunately my travelling for work has meant that we haven't met as many residents in town as I'd like.

Let me know if some of you are up for it. We could meet up for a drink somewhere central like Johnnie Walker's on Saturday evening.

All the best.
