159 restaurant

Post by bill »

159 is not it's name but can't figure out thai name so this is what i call it. located on petchsem road next to shell and across from ptt, near soi 62. buffet with b-q steak, chicken and pork. 2 kinds, black pepper or plain. 3 sauces for steaks. beef a little chewy. chicken and pork perfect. salad bar with sushi. wife and sister only ate this and loved it. 3 kinds of soup. had mushroom, very tasty. covered trays had pasta, fish, fries and baked potato, wings, thai food and more[forgot some i'am sure]. 159 baht, hench the name. one of best values in town.kids,6, loved it and ate like trojans. frang friend told me not to let anyone know about this place "they'll ruin it". heartless bastard. fruits and cake complete meal. good looking joint, with jazz in background, makes for your excellent evening out. big signs in front with 159 on them. even the irish can find this.

ummmm.....outback steak?
something like that.
have been there, owned by chinese thais, good idea, bit like sizzlers.
need to cover their salads a bit better, when i went, there was alot of insects swimming around in the dressings.
all you can eat buffet.
not many people though.
hope it gets better.
as it sure beats the 'all you can eat' slop shops. :D

but for 159 baht it was well worth the money in a nice clean environment.

I've never eaten there, but I just passed by and I think the place you're talking about is called Backyard steak and salad.
