Discussion on where to go when the sun goes down in Hua Hin; bars, pubs, clubs, karaoke and general nightlife.

I heard no liquor (or beer) sales in bars Sunday through Tuesday. Good thing my home bar is well stocked! :D
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I think the official days are the 7th and 8th. That's what the Phuket Gazette says, but there's confusion there, too.

For most expats, unless you just want to go to a bar for the girls, this is not a problem. Just go to one of small local Thai stores and buy what you want.

Like many others, I hate these 'closings', whether for a Buddha day or an election. They don't affect Thais at all. They may affect expats a little. The main effect is on tourists, who want to go to a bar or buy beer in a 7-11 or at Tesco.

(No icon for shooting yourself in the foot?)

Convention says that the day runs from 00.00 to 23.59, but who would expect the Thai police to know that; I hope they don't have any shift changes at midnight!
