It is also worth trying MBK and Paragon centre. Paragon is pretty much premium prices, branded stuff. MBK, a short walk away is cheaper, usually not branded. Also, not far from Pratunam is Fashion Mall (on the other side of the road heading west towards Pantip Plaza, pretty much behind central world plaza).

Judging by prices for branded footwear like Scholl and Nike in places like HH Mall and Robinsons, I don't think there's really much saving to be had by buying the real thing in LOS at all. (Compared to UK prices and bearing in mind the Autumn sales are looming in the West as well.)
So if you need sports shoes to take some serious hammer it's maybe worth hitting the sales back home instead. But a lot of the non branded or fake designer stuff in LOS can be surprisingly hard wearing and good value, and worth a try.

A sprout is for life - not just for Christmas.
You can find "designer" names at Pratunam too if you look.
Somchai is a contractor under license cranking out stuff for Guess or D&G or Calvin Klein or whoever.
Somchai puts on an extra shift and cranks out 15% more stuff which he offs to his brother-in-law who flogs it at Pratunam.
