I've just come back from the Nakhon Pathom Imm. to do my 90-day reporting - I was 5 days beyond the due date, but that's OK because you're allowed 7 days either side. Not any more.
The rules were apparently changed a month or so ago (according to the woman at the office), and you must go 7 days BEFORE or on the due date. Any time after that and you'll face a fine. She saw the look of total disbelief on our faces and mumbled something about letting us off this time.
Not sure if this applies to all immigration offices, but better be safe than sorry.

Useful information, however I've not heard about this anywhere else.
Maybe some members who need to report could do so on or before the due date in HH (if it suits), ask about this and let us know the answer?
My due date isn't until early March.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Yes told same thing last year. They seem rather pedantic also with the 24hr reporting after a re-entry. Apparently Imm. came to our complex and told developer that ALL visitors (farangs that is) must be recorded by their hosts at the Immoffice (24 hr form)!!
Also some of the blessed officers are not all that happy either as it has sparked an unprecedented demand on their services!
Let the paper war continue.
last week in bkk, long cue of people paying fines for late reporting, noticed on my slip it now says "maximum fine will not exceed 5,000 baht" before it read 2,000.
and officer pointed to the date and said before this date.
I'd like to see some proof of this change in legal format.
I think the current law is contained here: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en ... age=90days
and that's what I'd refer to if ever challenged about it.
Don't know whether I'd win, but I'd try to.

I`m with you, Lomu. But as you can see on the link, they cannot even write the change of address in Bangkok!
I have to go this week and I intend to do it in Bangkok, so will ask there.
They also have a new office in Bangkok at Chamchuree Square, which is right next to Sam Yan MRT station.
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!
Because i go back to the UK to work for a few month every year , i have given up my ret visa . I have a non imm o multi entry from brum , i am glad to be rid of the stupid officers at the HH immigration.
No such thing as a retirement visa to my knowledge.
I also have a non imm OA (originally multi entry) and still had to do the 90 day report and re- entry and 24 hr report if leaving the country.
Interestingly this time returning from abroad, they stamped passport at 24 hour reprting with new 90 day date - told me that now the 90 days starts again on return to the counrty.
Always thought this was the caswe anyway but seemed a bit hit and miss if it was adhered to
The wind blows cold on brake and heath
The weeping willows cry
The mountains dark are jagged teeth
Against a leaden sky.
That's how it should work, mr lonely.
You only need to do the 90 day report if you're staying more than 90 consecutive days in the country. If you exit, your 90 day "clock" is reset to day 1 when you re-enter.
Charlish, we all know what it is clever clogs but it does no harm at all to shorten it down to a ret visa , some people just hang around forums to jump on the first person to make a spelling mistake or grammatical error or something ells . It drives me crackers . Now i hope i made you happy.

I am pretty sure that it has always said that the maximum fine will not exceed 5000 Baht, but 2000 Baht is the fine they impose.
