The Chinese New Year Is Upon us!

Post by Rider »

Well we're entering the Year of the Tiger now!

2010 is the Metal Tiger year according to Chinese lore.
Outbreaks of war and strife are said to hallmarks on this year but also great steps of change and effort.

I shot this video from my room in BKK as fireworks exploded everywhere :D

May you live in interesting times :)

It certainly has, and I have to say today has been a rather painful one after hiitting the Chinese "baijiu" last night over at the in-laws! :?

"Xin nian kuai le" to all and may it be a happy and prosperous one!

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Yeah! Happy Chinese New Year to all the tyrants that run businesses and don't give a flying f*** for anyone else. May you continue to extort and rip-off all without showing the slightest bit of emotion/remorse for what you are doing.

On a lighter note HHf, then top and bottom left are approved, middle right is a red flag, rest are just forgetably average.

Just to help Tiger out.

Edit: Typing skill are bad after a few beers.

Bit harsh Spitfire..... I'm not sure of your experience in China, but I've been here 10 years managing initially a Joint Venture company, and now a "wholly owned foreign enterprise". Yes, business is bloody difficult at times with restrictions put on foreigners/foreign enterprises - but don't tar all Chinese (business owners or otherwise) with the same brush.

It also works both ways..... Us "Laiwai" are also in China for one reason - to make money.

I think S/F was talking about the world in-general.

That was not Spitfire's usual sane post. I think he posted that one after a few Changs and was a little more inflammatory like many of us are posting after a few Changs.

Depends on what year you are born in Mr C.
It's got nothing to do with chinese traits either.
