Police uniforms

Post by richard »

Seen police in brown (MIB) , White? (KK) and tonight Black? in Binter

Who are they?

Noticed that all the taxi drivers on the Poonsuk Binter junction moved off when they parked on their pitch

Did they look like this Richard?

If so, then that's the new police uniform that's been introduced, finally moving away from the 70s Village People pop group look with boots higher than a coyote dancer.

Edit: Actually, the uniform isn't that new, came out a couple of years or so ago, it's just taken a long time for it to be issued outside Bangkok.

Yes that explains it now. Funny though how all the taxi drivers had disappeared and this fully dressed cop in black was sat with his feet up watching their TV

Even more odd was the cop in KK who stayed at my hotel and apparently frequently does was in all white with ribbons and a bloody great silver sword at his waist and sat there opposite me at breakfast. Thought he may be navy, but in KK?? and the hotel boss said he was police or army. Maybe there on certain ocassions when Royalty visit KK which is quite frequently

I think the white, with sword, is a dress uniform. My Father in Law is a retired police and he has pictures around with him in the white.

Wife is asleep otherwise I'd confirm.

All government officials have white uniforms, which they must put on on special occasions such as e.g. the King's birthday.

My wife is a nurse, and with her master degree she has three stripes, and looks like a navy commander when she puts on her white uniform.
